Well caught as they say. A great composition, nice and sharp and well exposed. The background is just right. If I should dare to say anything maybe a crop to a more letterbox shape would be nice. |

This simple flower closeup is perfect for monochrome. We can look at the shapes and textures without the distraction of colour.Bits are on the soft side, smaller aperture maybe needed, but the centre is sharp. Yes the few distractions around the background can easily be sorted, but I like it. |

So you get this from just dipping a piece of linen in a bowl.
Magic. A very well caught moment and a good picture of a great looking character. |

I like this, the colourfull wildflowers in the foreground and then the soft curved pastel coloured land beyond, very picturesque. I like that little 'white house' its in a nice compositional position. |

I like the way all the lines draw the eye to the end of the bridge. In a perfect world the view at the end would be more exciting. I also like the effect your processing has produced it suits the subject well. |

Thanks for all your comments, I agree it is a tad soft. One of the reasons for taking the picture is that somewhere nearby one Of my Grandfathers Cousins fell. His name is on the Menin Gate at Ypres not far away. |

A nice balance between the hectic street scene and the cold and stillness of the snow capped mountains. I like the way the traffic and its lights lead the eye to the domed building. |

A nice travel shot, although I thing filling that pail with that small scoop would be a bit time consuming. I like the shutter speed used as it makes the water pouring down interesting.I think you have handled the conditions well with a nice exposure on the subject. |

others have the advantage over me of having been there, and also this side of the pond we do not see as many pictures of the location. I like it, the composition and the lighting.
Worth waiting for the rest to leave. |

Those trees do make the composition. I can see what others have said about the left side. The whole scene screams of Italy to me. |

A simple well seen picture the sort of thing only us photographers see. I like the repeating shapes of the lanterns and the added colour from the flowers. I see they have a problem with pigeons, going by all the spikes to stop them landing. |

That high ISO setting is just beginning to show in the clouds, but no problem. It is nice and sharp. I like the fountain both its position in the frame and its positioning against the most colourful building.I checked out the link you sent to your article on this trip.

Thanks for the comments. My angle on the car was a bit restricted by a chain barrier, you can see its shadow on the floor. The garage on the back wall is a large photograph, which now it has been mentioned does draw the eye. |
