Caught at the right moment, a great background.Sharp in the important places. A nice picture of a magnificent bird. |

Do not ask me to help with identification, I would get stuck after 'big bird'. I like the positioning in the frame, yes it is a bit of a shame that one leg is cut off, but have you ever looked at wildlife paintings, they cut off bits left, right and centre, that we photographers whinge about. And I have to agree with Dicks suggestion on the bright reed.Having said all that from a moving boat well done. |

An interesting collection of gentlemen waiting for something, but not too enthusiastically.I like the way the eye can travel across the group and spot all the different expressions and stances. |

I like the low angle on the church and filling in the sky the way you did was well worth the effort. For something built in 1901 its style is more like a few hundred years earlier.I think the boulder helps the composition.I also like the touch of colour coming in the trees. |

I like this. The plane is nice and sharp and I like the way you have blurred the propeller. The smoke does give a hint of a crop duster in action. I do hope that it was not a sign that a problem was about to occur with that radial.I like the position in the frame, which is helped by the smoke. |

An excellent still life. I like the lighting and composition, also the reflection. I also like the fact that the ends are soft in the background. As for that spot, well I did not see it until Carroll mentioned it, it is too sharp to be on your lens, more likely a flare spot or on your sensor. Others have mentioned putting a stroke around the image, with our black pages this does help as mono images with a lot of black can blend into the background. |

I like the tone and detail in this picture. I have to agree about the tight crop, but having seen your reasoning and the original I understand.Mono is perfect for the image and the interaction of the subjects is superb. Taking the picture as you presented it I would take a bit off the top as there is a lot of empty space. |

I find it hard enough to get one butterfly reasonably sharp, let alone three.Well done. The varied positions make the picture interesting. The background is excellent. |

One of those images that the eye can wander over enjoying the little details. A difficult subject well handled. A few comments have been made about the brightness of the foreground road, I would go for a crop I think. |
