Erik, this is a super picture of this feature, framed nicely by the branches of this dead tree. The warm low light accentuates the colour of the rock, which is nicely contrasted by the blue of the sky. Composition is pleasing too with the dark foreground leading to the well-lit rock formation. My mind jumps back to January 2011 and a trip to Monument Valley with you and Lynn Thompson and others. My view is attached. |

Interesting use of shapes in the stonework, Ian. The angular shapes of the foreground steps & vertical wall contrast well with the gentle curve of the background wall. For me, however, the image is made by the use of the 15 sec exposure time which has given an ethereal quality to the movement of the water. |

Great image of this man doing the laundry, and nicely presented. Whilst I agree with Gary that it is all about laundry and should include all of the second bucket, the problem is that a crop to do that then includes the distracting white plastic bottle in the bottom right corner. That should be darkened or perhaps cloned out for that crop to work. |

Bill, this vertical pano creates an unusual visual effect for the human brain to accommodate, and produces an interesting and eye-catching image. A horizontal pano is easy because we turn our heads left and right all the time so the brain is putting together that sort of image constantly in normal life. We do not normally scan up and down so the vertical pano stands out as something unusual. Sharp and well exposed. |

Isaac, this is a superb shot of some VERY precision flying. Just remember that neither pilot can see the other plane. Excellent shot with pure blue sky so nothing to distract the viewer. Like Ian, I would like to see more from this airshow. |

Gary, Good symmetrical pier leading to a superb sky. As Ian says, this sort of light changes very quickly so you caught it at just the right moment. I like the way the end of the pier connects with the clouds. The colours all work together too. Nice one! |

Gary, you are quite right that the symmetry is not perfect. I did not notice it at the time and it's too late when you get home! It was a bit busy there so maybe I have an excuse! |
