An interesting interpretation, Isaac. Did you get planning permission to shorten the lamp post? :) |

Hi Ian. First of all I hope Lesley has recovered from her eye ulcer. That sounds very painful indeed. You were lucky you were allowed to divert on your way home to get some pictures of this Buccaneer. It's unusual to see a navy aircraft in desert camouflage so this is an interesting record. I like that the wings are folded so I can clearly see the aerofoil section shape - takes me back more than 60 years when that subject was part of my working life, although not on that aeroplane. Good clean, sharp record of this aircraft. Thanks Ian. |

Great shot, Erik. Good close-up, well composed and well exposed. Pin sharp too. |

Vella, as soon as I saw this I knew it had to be in England. In fact you could take this type of shot only a few miles from where I live. I feel you have brought up the green a little too much - your original looks more authentic in colour, even though it is rather dull. I took your original and brightened it up in ON1 2024, but kept the colours more like I feel they should be. I think you were right in your cropping and I'm glad you left the road sign in because it is typical of the scene. The sheep on the far left could be toned down though. |

Great shot Bill, especially for a first attempt, and a good bit of PP to blur the background. I would not have known. Panning is not easy, even on a steadily moving subject. It is too easy to let the subject wander in the frame. The easiest camera I had for panning was an old Zeiss folding camera that took 8 frames on 120 size film. This camera had a pop-up wire frame viewfinder so you could see all the surrounding scene as well. It was VERY low-tech and very easy to use. |

Isaac, this is superb and a gold medal in my view. I love simple images like this. Exposure of the snow is just right and its gentle texture provides a good background. Composition is just right too. I can understand you forgetting about camera settings with this image in the viewfinder. The automatics have done a good job and I see no noise from the 8000 ISO. |

Warm weather, sun shining, gentle breeze just enough to fill the mainsail but not enough to make the water rough. Here in the North-East of England we have it colder and rougher, but at least we don't have alligators!
Great shot Gary. It is nicely framed, sharp and well exposed. I like the vibrant colours. Maybe you could lift the shadows on the man a little. As for Photo Travel, I never entered that genre so I can't comment about its suitability. |

Hi Vella. Thanks for your comments. The fishing community is probably a very close group and nobody would steal from a friend and who else would want any of that stuff? It really is quite amazing, though, just how much stuff is just left lying around. How anyone remembers what is theirs, I can't imagine! |
