Thanks Bill. The statue brings out that emotion and I wanted to say how I felt. |

Hi Isaac. It was the purple and green pills! I fed them to the statue to give it a lift! |

Ian, definitely a fun image and I imagine these people are fun to be with. It is reassuring, in a fun sort of way, that they are not pointing the guns at the camera. However, I think that the image would have very much more impact if they were all aiming at you. As for the pole in the window, I confess I did not notice the first time I looked at the image. However, I agree that the image would be better without it. |

Erik, what an unusual picture with the baby resting on mother's nose. I really like the little one at the bottom edge - he looks quite cheeky! Great story as has been said. |

Shooting an opening like this is quite difficult because often the eye naturally follows the lines from inside the darker interior to the brighter outside, only to ask the question, "What am I supposed to look at?" I think this image works because you have the two diamond shaped road signs which act as a gentle visual stop, allowing you to come back into the interior and enjoy the detail in the woodwork. Your PP has been well done to bring out the detail and colours inside the bridge. |

I believe Bristlecone Pines are some of the oldest living things on Earth, with some specimens being dated at over 4,000 years old. This one seems to have seen better days but is very photogenic in its bare twisted shape. The image is very sharp and well composed. I am one of those unusual photographers who doesn't mind plain blue skies. However, your choice of this sky as a replacement works very well. I was a bit concerned until I read on to find that it was one you had taken yourself. |

This is an image that appears very simple at first sight, but which then becomes more interesting the longer you look at it. I like the fact that the people are shrouded in mystery, being in silhouette so we know very little about them. The grouping is good with two people standing and one walking away. The decisive moment! |

Well done for being out before sunrise Gary. You had a good sky to work with and had the sun emerging from behind a very low bank of cloud on the horizon. The bridge is well placed and balances the sun in the composition. That long grey cloud forms a good compositional elemnt too. Good PP to achieve this result. |

Hi John, just dropping in from DD 04. What a perfect rendering of a bleak Northumberland day in winter! Great composition too. Personally, I prefer the sky as it is because it captures the 'feel' of the day perfectly. |

Hi Ian, just dropping in from DD 04. I really do like this. The people and the building details are defined simply by their silhouetted shapes in pure black making the image very graphic and clean. The slight detail in the sky just adds that small but essential touch of reality. |
