4 Jun 22 Reply I don't have a problem with your crop, Bill. It tightens up the image, but I still prefer my crop. I never thought about using a vignette - nice. Jun 29th
4 Jun 22 Comment Bill, that is a lovely autumnal glow you have created in this image. It seems to enhance the sharpness of the tree trunks and invites the viewer to step into the image and explore. Jun 13th
4 Jun 22 Reply We'll look forward to that. Jun 7th
4 Jun 22 Reply Isaac, the cliffs and rocks in that area consist of hard chalk and are grey-white. I suspect the lighter patches in the water are just outcrops of white rock close to the surface. It is quite dangerous to take a boat in too close. Jun 6th
4 Jun 22 Comment Ian, I wish I had know you were going to be in Scarborough. We live only 50 miles north west so we could have met for a coffee or lunch. You caught the scene nicely and the light is excellent. The composition and crop bring out the sweep of the bay and the white lighthouse acts as a good visual stop. Scarborough is a lovely place but it can be cold at times - if you travel due north from there the next stop is the North Pole, and when the north wind blows, you really know it! Jun 4th
4 Jun 22 Comment Another great nature shot from you Erik. I agree with Vella that it would be nice to see a bit more into its face. I do like the colour in the reflections. Jun 4th
4 Jun 22 Comment Vella, that is a very good image to be taken from a tour bus. Was it an open topped bus or did you shoot through the window? The composition is good making the tower look stark and imposing against the plain sky, although I would be inclined to clone out the contrail lower left. I think an increase in contrast would be good to boost the impact of the image. Jun 4th
4 Jun 22 Comment Quite a remarkable shot, if a little confusing at first. I spent a bit of time trying to sort out what was going on but after reding your description it all became clear. You have caught the action beautifully in great detail. Jun 4th
4 Jun 22 Reply I wondered if that would be a problem. Jun 3rd
4 Jun 22 Comment Nice shot Gary. I appreciate the way you have placed the moon directly over the end post. Colour and tone create a mood of quiet solitude. Would it have been possible to wait until the moon was on the horizon and find a new position to put the moon apparently sitting on top of the end pole? Jun 3rd
