4 Mar 22 Comment Ian, this shot should have a health warning - it's enough to scare the living daylights out of anyone! Seriously, this is a spledid piece of work and very cleverly done. There is no way that I could think of to improve it. The red line on the RH eye socket mentioned by Diana could be interpreted as a streak of blood, so it doesn't disturb me. Mar 18th
4 Mar 22 Comment I can remember being here some years ago, but I don't think I saw such a good sunrise. Great shot Erik. Mar 18th
4 Mar 22 Comment Great action shot Vella, and I am impressed by your ability to get such good results shooting from a boat. The 'frozen' water drops really bring out the action, and the focus on the bird's eye looks just right. I agree with Bill's comment about Topaz Sharpen AI and Topaz AI Clear. They are both impressive and it pays to try one and then the other to see which gives the better results. Mar 17th
4 Mar 22 Comment Lovely image Bill, with the diagonal line of blooms giving a strong composition. The work on the clamp and the background has brought out the stregth of the image, and the painterly border is the finishing touch. My wife, Paula, runs an iPhone circle in a UK photo group and she has made a note of the apps you used. Mar 17th
4 Mar 22 Comment Isaac, this is a great view of this old ship and the lighting is really great. You clearly have steady hands to be able to do a three exposure bracket hand held. Bill's additional treatment adds to the impact. Mar 17th
4 Mar 22 Comment Gary, this is absolutely superb. The flowing lines ceate a very good composition and the strong b/w creates huge impact. Cloning out that tree must have been very tricky, so after Isaac's election as Dr Flip, I think you should be Surgeon Clone.
I was not bothered by the slight inward tilt of the verticals at the sides, and after looking at Bill's corrected version I think I prefer the original as it has a more dynamic feel. The only thing I would do with this image is to take out the tiny bit of bright railing in the bottom left corner.
