Hi Bill. Someone under the lamp post would have been nice. Maybe I should have asked one of my compamions to stand there. A man in a black overcoat with the collar turned up, leaning against the lamp post, with a trilby hat pulled down over his eyes would have been good.... |

Joe, British warships are normally grey, so the colour is probably the effect of the light at the time. |

Great shot Ian. The long exposure has worked well to smooth out the water, and amazingly the ship does not seem to have moved in that time. That magenta reflection in the water at the extreme left is a bit eye-catching. Can you tone it down a bit? |

Bill, this could have been taken in Britain today. We have had too much rain and many places are flooded. The bench is well placed in the frame and the dark edges lower and upper right hold the eye in very nicely. THe icing on the cake is the foreground grasses. When I was 14, I didn't have anything like such a good eye for a picture. I did do my own developing and printing though, in our blacked out kitchen in the evenings. |

Nice one Joe! I've had a couple of days in Barcelona but did not find this building. Clearly I must go back and have a better look around. You have framed the buliding well and got some good reflections which contrast well with the rest of the building. The lighting is just right to bring out the texture on the non-reflecting parts. |

Hi Stephen. What an interesting variation you have come up with. I would never have thought of doing that! I brightened up the writing on the road because I felt that the cycleway sign and arrow brings you into the picture and also because I have some other shots in other roads that feature the same writing, so I was trying to build a small panel with that as the connecting feature. Thanks for your comment. |

Isaac, I can sympathise with you. I've been to Antelope twice and the second time the Photographers Only session was invaded by lots of other people. You have caught the motion of the sand well with just the right shutter speed. The composition works nicely with the curve of the rock face leading in from the bottom right corner, and the sand highlighted against the darker rock face. I don't recognise the scene so I'm guessing it was Upper Antelope - I've only been to the Lower canyon. |

Hi Joan. Wow, you got a great one there. I've been to this location twice and each time it was packed with other photographers. That was lucky to get just one person there and in the right place. Your processing has brought out the colours very well. |

I recognised this island as soon as I saw your image. You took us there when we stayed with you some years ago, but the weather was not as nice as it is in this image. You have done a great job with the composition and post processing. I really like it.
Like you, I only like to show the best that I can do. |

Hi Cecilia, I sense a future of hours of a mixture of fun and frustration! I love this image and you have shown that you don't have to be satisfied with a single shot. You have put this together very nicely. The great thing about this sort of work is that every shot is different, so you have an unlimited variety of images to work with. Just don't set off your smoke alarm! |
