This is a perfectly timed shot showing a brilliant display. Your comment about just going on shooting continuously shows dedication and reminds us all that we shouldn't expect a winner every time we press the shutter button. I remember that a very talented photographer (can't remember who) once said that he only had a hit rate of about two percent, but he took lots of shots so even the two percent was still a lot of images. Super shot Ian, and I didn't notice the light building on the left until I read Erik's comment, but I agree that it is better without it. |

Nice shot Erik. I've often seen interesting reflections in other people's sunglasses but never made anything out of it. This is a good example of what can be done, and your post work is excellent. |

Thomas, this is an excellent image with very well caught action. It makes me wonder what happened next. Did the riders manage to regain control after they landed? It is also a very convincing composite. I too like the head of the fourth rider just appearing at the base. |

The warm colour contrasting with the blue sky gives a very harmonious colour balance. The composition with the leading line going almost to infinity down the centre creates a very calm, restful atmosphere. Normally I would not like the curved pillars and gates on a scene like this, but they match the curvature of the wrought iron arch so on this occasion I think it works well. |

Superb image Isaac! As Ian says, most people would have walked sraight past this and not seen it as a photo opportunity. I too felt that the fort and the water were leaning a little to the right. Well done Erik for spotting this and straightening it up. |

Joe, there is a lot to enjoy in this image, from the large copper brewing vessel to the stained glass windows and the brick wall, and on to the people at the bottom, busily engaged in their work. I'm glad you put the main subject just a little off-centre as it makes the composition very satisfying. I do wonder if the colour is maybe being dominated by artificial light and perhaps you might alter the colour balance to reduce the orange cast and let some of the other colours come through. |
