David, it would be great to meet you, but I'm probably not going to get to the USA again. The cost of travel insurance goes up in leaps and bounds as you get older, and it gets more difficult to rent a car when you are over 80. However, if you should ever manage to get over here to Britain I'd be delighted to meet up with you. Now that I have met Ian, you and Isaac are the only ones from our group that I haven't met. |

Personally I like the colours and I like the pose. It would be nice to see the nose of the aircraft, and also possibly the rest of the tail. That would, of course, then need to be a landscape image which would be a different shot and make the model much less significant in the frame. I think for this shot, if i were going to crop, I would take the top down to the leading edge of the wing at the right, and take the grass away at the bottom to just below the model's feet. That would give a nearly square image and put the model pretty well smack in the cetre of the image. It may break all the 'rules' but I think it would be a strong image. |

Erik, congratulations on your FPSA. I'm sure it is well deserved.
It is strange how both you and David have chosen to produce images this month with similar blank skies. However, I feel I must agree to some extent with Bill that the image needs a bit more punch. A good boost to contrast using Curves would do all that is needed and make the colours really jump out. I like the composition with the boat adding some interest. |

That's a very interesting process David, and it has produced a more eye-catching image than the original. It also illustrates the quality of the modern phone-camera. I quite like the haloes round the two crosses. They add a touch of mystery to the overall scene. I like the idea off adding a full moon to the sky. Somewhere in the upper left would be nice. |

As soon as I saw this I thought it had to be Bodie. I had a whole day there 19 years ago and enjoyed it greatly. However, I didn't get this truck. I think you have done a great job with the composition and bringing out the colour on the truck. The old mining buildings in the background set the scene nicely. |

Super picture and a lovely pose at the window. You successfully break the rule about not having light at the edge and someone at the edge looking out of the frame. The dark area sets the scene and the wire mesh at the window suggests captivity with the young woman gazing out at unattainable freedom. Personnally I would like to see just a little more light in the shadows. |

A great example of your lateral thinking Joe. I like everything about this image - it has a wonderful magical mystery about it almost into fairy tale territory. |

Hi Ian. Great to meet you too. Thanks for your kind words about our prints. I always feel a digital image is never as good as a good print. I'd like to see your prints too, as you have some superb digital images. |

Thanks David. If you flip it the time becomes 4 pm (or 4 am) which might be fun! |
