It belongs in the Fun Category, Sam. If there isn't one yet, there should be! Guy Davies from DD04. |

Ian, Paula and I are due to visit Hoylake Photographic Society in March next year to do a print talk. Maybe we can meet up then. |

Ian, I've been to this place on a visit to Liverpool but never saw a composition like this. Well done in creating this image. The leading line is very dominant and powerful, and really makes this image. It looks like a road and I get the feeling that a car is going to come hurtling down towards me any moment! I knew it was called Paddy's Wigwam, but I hadn't heard of the Apollo 13 name before. I think you were right to flip the image. |

A very attractive panorama Erik. The colours are very strong and yet the whole image creates a very restful feeling. The sky comes over very well. |

Bill, this is an excellent result for your effort. The orchid is beautifully displayed and very sharp. I would never have thought of doing light painting on such a small subject. Ian has clearly got eagle eyes as I missed those two very tiny coloured spots! |

Great shot Bill. The brown path leads the eye into the picture and the person is well framed by the foliage. My title would be, "Into the Light." Like Joe, I wonder if the person was put in??? |

The composition is good with a nice tilt to the lines of the field. The colours are dynamic and you did a superb job in getting it sharp under difficult conditions. The tractor is the icing on the cake and creates a very good focal point. |

Joe, I'm a camera club judge so I can say quite unequivocally that you shouldn't take too much notice of camera club judges (LOL). It's only opinion anyway. Actually, I rather like the different treatment with all the people and umbrellas and the rain. I think Isaac's crop improves the composition.
I had a little play with the image. I copied the bridge and people from the waterline to about half way up the trees, flipped vertically and moved it down to look like a reflection. I applied a Ripple filter and a Wind filter in Photoshop and then did Edit>Transform>Scale to squash that layer to fit the image. Finally, I reduced the opacity to 80% to allow the Background water to show through. It's a bit of fun really! |
