There IS ENOUGH INFOMATION THAT THE VIEWER CAN DETERMINE THAT THE SUBHECT IS QUITE OLD and unkept. To me, the screening draws my eye in to the image. I have shot doors and windows around the World as well. My first image encompasses some of the area surrounding my subject, then I shoot bits and pieces from different vantage points until I am satisfied with the results. Gary and Isaac have valid points however it boils down to personal preference. Thanks for your kind email concerning my Sept. offering. Hope your wife is feeling better. |

It is important to create images outside of our comfort zones. Can be a good learning experience and make us better at our loved craft. I like both of your images and Gary's changes, however, for me your high key mono has less impact than your colored original. Again, it comes down to personal preferences. |

Another serene scape Guy, the R.R. tracks create a credible leading line and the soft colors promote this delegate scape. |

Your image contains multiple leading lines and interesting shadows. It is sharp well balanced with the whole tree showing. I agree with Isaac on the border, would a 2 mb stroke work better? |

Isaac, you have always had the nose for good P.J. images. The image is sharp, offering good color and depth of field. Imagine trying to make this image with cameras manufactured in the 90's. A question might have been 10,000 what. |

St. Xavier is a beautiful monument to the past. Your entry offers soft light on the building and changing light in the sky. I took the liberty to straighten the vertical lines. My last three visits were disappointing as sections of the building were covered with restoration scaffolding. This visit was a Plesant surprise. |
