Your IMAGE IS A WINNER FOR ME AS WELL. The delicate subject presentation, vibrant color, sharpness where needed and the morning rain drops rounded out the submission. My vision for cropping the left side was to rid the upper left-hand corner of the distracting light area. Dr. Isaac wanted to remove dead space, ha. You might consider starting a flower project. It will ensure additional walks and downtime with Lesley, perhaps learn more about the local flora then fill a wall with images of various local flowers, just a thought. |

Your image completes a Nature story of the moment. Isaacs master stroke strengthens your image in that there is now more definition in the subject and the pleasing soft background. I would have set the ISO to 1600 for this photo op as Auto ISO has never worked for me. I find it a help for tripod mounted scapes but trying to capture moving subjects using Auto ISO grants me with too many soft images. |

The railings and deck shadow provide strong leading lines. Good composition, color and depth. Isaac's tweak put icing on the cake. |

Thanks for your kind words Guy, reading my reply to Isaac will supply the reason feet were not included. This image can be used in Nature competition. |

Your position exposed leading lines that will help the viewer navigate through the image. Your forward helped me understand your canvas and its historic significance. |

Your creative mind was at work once again. I enjoyed the fence concept but agree with Gary and Vella, your second image is stronger. Adding a new sky was a major help. |

I am familiar with the furnaces as I had many clients, that were part of the college training program, at Bethlehem Steel plants located just East of Buffalo NY. At one time there were about 24,000 employees at the Buffalo complex. As the others stated, Isaacs crop strengthened the image. Although color and Mono both work, I believe Mono is the stronger of the two.

This particular perch had a wood cross bar however the vertical support was white PVC pipe and its presence all but destroyed my image vision. I'm pleased with the crop. |
