It now looks more realistic to me however the stark contrast between the pine cones and the moss still bother my Nature eye. |

Guy, your idea of a crop solved all the image shortcomings. It is so special having so many talented folks in our group. |

The overcast and your settings helped provide very natural color to the land and vegetation. Your Anker (the house) is perfectly placed on your canvas and the structure on the right provides the balance. After the sky is cropped you will have a stronger rendering. While experiencing bad weather, you persevered with patience and made lemonade out of lemons, good job. |

One of the best captures of a White Pelican with a visible fish, that I have encountered in my 60 + years of Nature Photography. As the others stated the image tells a strong Nature story and the icing on the cake was the Double crested Cormorant. Would enjoy seeing more of your Nature work. |

Love the vibrant colors and shadows. The image is well balanced and sharp. A good creative piece. Isaac's (different option) works as well. Your 3 main leading lines allow the viewer to see the entire image. |

Experienced photogs look and see and that rewarded you with a Nature set up. The pinecones are sharp where needed. After viewing this image a 3rd time my photographic eye told me that the brilliant color of the moss should be toned down a bit. If you agree, try it and see if you think your offering appears more natural after the change. |

Your image is sharp and well placed in your canvas offering good color as well. I'm not troubled with the Topaz water fix however I agree with Isaac concerning the smudges around the mast and they appear aft as well. |

My thoughts are the color and composition pass muster. If at second viewing you want to crop some foreground, I wouldn't crop much. I like the background tree as it helps with image balance. After viewing the top of the roof it appears that their are floating pieces of wood just above the roofline?
