I had a thought Ian, You needed to get away from the stress, you made this lovely, relaxing image on your vacation, perhaps it would make an appropriate signed gift for Claire |

Thank you for sharing your family's sadness and stress with your Study Group 4 Family Ian. Bill Buchanan, Joe, Guy and I have been in this group for years and feel this is one of the best study groups within PSA. I enjoy this group so much that I have made it a priority to meet and shoot with every past and present Member. You are the only exception and hopefully we can rectify that. We are all pleased that you stayed in the group. God bless you and your family. Please send our best to Claire. Now to your image.
As the others have stated, you have created a good restful image. It is sharp in the correct areas, the colors are sedate and the water is silky and the stroke was a nice touch. Isaacs flip provided a stronger leading line however both have merits. Looking forward to seeing future shots from this shoot.

I agree with the others Bill. The leaf offers a good leading line, the subject is sharp and is strengthened by the blurred background. The stroke provides containment of the image on your canvas. |

Imagination is the cornerstone of creative photography and you filled that bill with this rendering Guy. The bright colors draw my attention and the swirl creates a point of interest. Stay on your meds. |

Well done Bill, your subject is well places in your frame I like the fact that your post work maximized the definition of the hair follicles and body color. You did an excellent job of bringing out the eye color. In my experience the Ape family presents a problem as their eyes are concave and if the light isn't perfect the end product suffers. With the purchase of the new lens will open up more exciting photo opportunities in Florida and around the Country. Congrats my friend. |

Your creative photographic eye provides the viewer with an unusual image. The change to B&W put some mystery into it. I agree with Guy's summation with one additional suggestion, Putting a white stroke around your offering would better the image on your canvas. |

I like the symmetry and the varied colors these arches Joe. Good leading line and well balanced. Isaac's flip brings another prospective to the table, I like them both. |
