I really enjoy the colors and the reflection, and the big shadow on the right with the bright columns showing through it is a major enhancement. Most important for me was your description of the weather. I'm booked for a trip to Ireland in June and while I have always followed Baden-Powell's dictum of Be Prepared, your writeup really re-enforces that. |

I never realized before that a cattle egret had some colors; I thought it was pure white. So this picture, as well as being an interesting nature image, was quite instructive. And getting the "butt shot" is what you had to do to give me that information. |

Welcome again, David. I really enjoy the great depth of field that pulls me into the road, and the exposure seems to me to be perfect. Like Bill's image, it reminds me of the time when I lived in that cold snowy climate. Just to think that I used to hike roads like that!

I like the curves of the sand, and the white buildings in the background sort of anchor my eyes. I too didn't notice the people at first, but then the red jacket makes it perfect. How did you arrange it? |

On my monitor it looks almost like a monochrome, and I didn't see the house until the others called my attention to it. But since I live in California, the image really conveys the feeling of winter that I haven't experienced in over 50 years (and I'm not sorry.) I think I'd prefer it to be cropped some. |

What impresses me is the contrast between the blue of the tower and the gold of the background. I saw that first, and then I enjoyed the details of the tower. Very pleasant. |

Don't know of any name. Colors in the background are from other glass containers with food coloring |
