Thanks for your comments and your edits, Mary Ann! It brought out more colors to the flowers surrounded the Tidal Basin. Your editing technique in Photoshop is great! I really like the edited version! |

Hi Ruth,
The conversion to BW is a nice choice since it renders the scene mystical. The color, lighting, and contrast creates a softer, dreamlike look. I especially like the vapor which enhances the atmosphere and gives the viewer a magical feel. Great image! |

Hi Jo-Ann,
Nice capture of the parent bird tending its fluffy chicks in the nest! The angle of your shot is great to show the details of the egret with its long, sharp, and yellowish-orange bill as well as its delicate, white feathers.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide more info about the location, the key times (is it in spring?), and whether you accomplish with a long lens from a distance. Thanks for sharing your nice shot! |

Hi Andres,
You have captured dramatic low angle image of the vines. It creates a sense of height and wonder. The vines serve as leading lines that draw the viewer 's eyes upward to the scene. I especially like the diagonal of the vines, and the shadows on it that add depth to the scene.
Dark grey clouds in the distance signify heavy overcast conditions and look a bit gloomy. I'd prefer to enhance the color of clouds to add more joy to the image. Great shot! |

Hi Mary Ann,
You have brought this image to a "high level" through post processing. Your artistic enhancements have transformed a normal image into a compelling final image.
The sepia tone works well. I especialy like the long, messy, and unpolished mane of the horse. Well done! |

Hi Robert,
Great shot! Your image shows the affectionate and social bonding behaviors between two bucks. The antlers and similar size of those bucks indicate that they are pairing up as bachelor groups. Your post processing is well done with the focus on the bonding of the two bucks with antlers only. It's a very beautiful image!

Thanks for your comments, Susan! Smithsonian Castle has become a famous tourist spot when the magnolia is in bloom. May be they planted special magnolia types. |

Hi Jack,
I love to see the grapevine leaves and its spiral tendrils! Your grapevine leaves make me think of the Mediterranean or Asian cuisine dish too (such as "grilled beef wrapped in grape leaves") LOL!
For this image, I'd prefer to crop tighter to eliminate the tree and the ground area, and enhance the color of the sky a bit more. Thanks for sharing your image of the vineyard! |

Hi Ruth,
Your shot of blue bonnets are beautiful! Since you captured it through the car window, the high trees seem to be dominant.
I'd prefer to separate the blue bonnets from the entire scene to make them stand out more. I do hope that you also had more close up pictures of those beautiful flowers. Thanks for sharing your image! |

Hi Bill,
The sepia look works well with the historical museum. While I normally like to include a person to make the scene more lively, the photographer was taking pictures in this image is a distraction that I'd prefer to be removed (as Steven did).
I'd also suggest to crop tighter on the left to eliminate the bench that was cut off. Thanks for sharing your shot! |

Hi Susan,
Great story-telling shot! The alligators look hungry and aggressive that make me nervous to watch this scene. They can be fast and powerful, capable of injuring the feeder too.
Nice composition, and very sharp image with 3 big alligators jumped up high from the swamp. I wonder how feeding rats can provide enough food to them?
I'd prefer to crop tighter to eliminate the spectators' legs from the boardwalk. |

Hi Steven,
The macro photo of the flower is very sharp, and your edtiting technique is great to render it so special! The square crop and the blur around the peripheral make the image stand out. Thanks for sharing your technique! |
