Hi Andres,
Here is my quick fix using SuperImpose and Snapseed apps for iphone. As the width of the water reflection in the original image is smaller than the one in the blue hour version, I used the Healing tool to blend the dark color on both sides. Let me know what you think. |

Hi Ruth,
Your image is impactful to bring out a dangerous trend of people getting too close to wildlife for photos. It captures the visitor's reckless disregard for his safety and animals' well-being. It's scary to see that he is in a dangerous encounter with an agitated bison.
The composition works well with the man and the bison as the center of interest. Well done! |

Hi Joan,
You have captured a beautiful scenery of Mono Lake Tufas. The photo exposure is well done to highlight the beautiful cloudy sky, and the limestone of the tufa towers.
One minor suggestion is to eliminate the two bright rocks at the lower left corner of the image, if possible. Thank for sharing your beautiful image! |

Hi Mary Ann,
Your knucklehead pumpkin with its bumpy orange skin offers a fun, spooky look for festive fall display. I especially like the different colors of leaves around it. The image is sharp and the compsition works well.
I am curious to know whether the pumpkin is spotlighted by an external light or not since a specific area of the pumpkin is highlighted while the surroundings are kept darker? Well done! |

Hi Robert,
Very creative shot using arches of the bridge's structure to surround your subject, drawing the viewers's eyes focus inwards! Venice is instantly recognizable at first sight due to its unique cityscape of buildings rising from water, canals, iconic bridges, grand architecture, and the gondola ride. Your post processing to sharpen the scene makes the floating atmosphere more apparent.
In my personal opinion, I'd prefer to lighten the rough and dark details of the bridge in the foreground a bit to make the composition and main subject more engaging. Thanks for sharing your beautiful shot of Venice! |

Hi Andres,
Looking at two versions of the same scene, my best approach involves comparing details to identify my strongest preference. I like the blue hour version more since the mountains in the background is visible and it makes the historic buildings stand out more. Since the water reflection of the original image is more clear, I'd suggest to replace it in the blue hour version. Thanks for sharing your beautiful image! |

Hi Bill,
This is an excellent image! Your technical perfection, balanced lighting, and sharp details leave a memorable experience for the viewers. To me, the iphone is best camera in this challenging lighting situation.
I am debating whether the top ceiling should be cropped tighter to the horizontal bar to highlight the details of the 2 columns on the foreground more but it's up to you to decide. Included is my crop suggestion. Thanks for sharing your beautiful image!

Hi Wayne,
In this image, you have captured an unusual perspective that makes it memorable for your trip. The sunset, the ocean water, and the silhouette of trees in the foreground convey a calm feeling to the viewers.
I'd prefer to see more of the beautiful clouds since they are likely the main focus of your image. Thanks for sharing your shot! |

Hi Ruth,
The soft purple color of the flower evokes the feeling of calm and elegance to the viewer. I think that the flower's name is Aster.
For this image, the petals are sharp but the yellow center is a bit pixelated, making its details look rough, probably because of the tiny flower was enlarged. The dark background makes the flower stand out. Overall, it's a beautiful flower image! |

Thank you for your detailed feedback, Jack! The Aizhai bridge is a massive suspension bridge and one of the world's highest and longest tunnel-to-tunnel bridges in Hunan, China. The iphone is very handy to me to capture the scenery via the bus window because the entire bridge cannot be seen when I came closer. I used .5x option from my iphone, no special lens attached. The bus was in motion but slowed down for a L turn. Thanks for pointing out a bit of reflection (greenish tint)of the window that I did not notice. |

Thanks for your comments, Steven! Yes, I think that I took it with .5 from my iphone (which is wide angle) for this landscape photo. |

Hi Steven,
Nice try to capture the water droplets by a mobile phone! I have tried it with a DSLR camera only, and I think that the flag in the background can be made more blurred to make the droplets stand out.
In this image, the water droplets with the reflection of US flag are quite sharp.
I'd suggest to crop tighter to focus on the droplets with their image reflection in it. Thanks for sharing your experiments!

Hi Jack,
The image captured in Cuba is interesting! You've captured all the prominent symbols of Havana: The historic architecture of the building, the common practice of clothes hanging to dry on balconies, and the bright color of the antique car.
I'd prefer to correct the perspective of the image and crop off the top level of the building. Thanks for sharing your travel image! |
