Hi Andres,
Thanks for pointing out my error regarding the seagull on the angel's head. I appreciate the correction. Please also see my responses to Ruth.
I agree with you that the angle of the statue is a bit off. There are 10 angel statues, 5 on each side of the bridge, I purposely selected the angel carrying the cross that is close to the Castel Sant'Angelo to show a scenic view of the castle. Sorry to hear that the castle in the background is a distraction to you. |

Ruth, Thanks for your comments!
Good catch! You are right, the bird is not a part of the structure. May be it does not move at all that makes me think it's included. I check on Wikipedia website and the bird was not included. Sorry, my bad!

Hi Joan,
Removing an image background can be challenging. Although there are several tools and techniques that offer automated background removal, images with intricate details, like hair with fuzzy edges can be difficult for automated tools to process accurately. I often struggle with the background removal too.
Do not be discouraged, you can try with other softwares or apps that might offer a better background remover feature. Thanks for sharing your image! |

Hi Abdullah,
Welcome to this Study Group 03!
For this image, the story you want to convey is not quite effective to me. The symbolism to enhance meaning and establish a clear message is not visible. Is there a square board for the chess game?
I'd prefer to see there is a separation between the king and the 3rd pawn, and darken the white spot on the left outside of the dark surface. |

Hi Ruth,
It's a great shot! The scene is beautiful, the lighting is nice, and the composition works very well. The moose adds more impact to the scene. I especially like that you captured the details of the water dripping from the moose's mouth. |

Hi Robert,
The composition works well, and the egrets are quite sharp. The two white egrets that look at each other whlle extending their wings are strikingly beautiful. Well done! |

Hi Mary Ann,
In this image, you have a clean background with nice sky and hills. Your post processing to dehaze works well, and the horses are quite sharp.
I'd prefer to see a separation between those horses because it seems that there are four horses in this image but one of them was hidden behind the horse on the left |

Hi Andres,
This image is timed perfectly with good results: the jumping horse, and the facial expression of the rider. Your post processing works well to bring out the details of the horse and the rider.
Although your crop to make it vertical is a nice choice, I think that the horizontal version could show that the main difficulty of show jumping is in the way the rider manage the strides of his horse between the narrow fences. Nice shot! |

Hi Wayne,
The large spiny cactus emerging from the background of yellow daisies and blue flowers creates a captivating contrast of brutality and softness. To me, the arrangement of visual elements within the frame doesn't effectively guide the viewer's eye to the main subject. I'd prefer to see more of the cactus plant and to crop off the top part that has the stem of the daisies without flowers. |

Thanks for your comments, Jack! I agree with you that the formation of clouds changes so quickly, particularly at high speeds of an airplane. Phone camera is very handy in this case. |

Hi Bill,
The scene with trees and water reflection are a good choice for infrared photo. To me, the leaves that frame the foreground do not indicate the effect of infrared with white leaves as expected. I am not sure if it's the result of the added vignette or not.
I'd prefer to crop tighter on the foreground since it does not add much to the scene, as Jack and Steven pointed out. Thanks for sharing your experiment with infrared! |

Hi Jack,
It's an interesting street photography image! It shows the different life style of Cambodia, the bustling energy and modern life instead of iconic ancient temples I have seen. The painting of 2 dancers in drum heads on the window are very cool. The main door and the window of the background help to identify that it was the painted walls of the house.
I'd prefer to crop tighter on the top of the image to eliminate the electricity wires. Nice shot! |

Hi Ruth,
The orange lilies are beautiful! Adding a vignette creates a specific mood and draw the viewer's attention to the flowers. I'd suggest to try with the vignette that darkens the edges of the image instead of lightening them since the white color seems a bit strong in this image. |

Hi Steven,
It's a great shot! The glass blower looks so sexy, and she does not seem to be afraid of burns, cuts. The torch is on, and the tools around her tell the story well. |
