Thanks, Michael! What I learn from my trip that Asturias has an incredible cider culture. The method of pouring cider from high above is to improve aroma, flavor and texture to the cidra.
Chef José Andrés shows how to pour Asturias cider in this Youtube video

Hi Joan,
Nice travel image! I like the orange lights of the city in the distance that look like little stars. I found that the rows of white lights near the center draw the viewer's eyes there. |

Hi Mary Ann,
Beautiful shot! The grapes look fresh and stand out from 3 fall leaves on 3 surrounding corners! |

Hi Andres,
Thanks for sharing your image "Tourist go ham!" With that, I can understand that tourism helps the economy in terms of hotels, food, services…but it can be a negative impact to locals such as: culture and traditions can be lost with the influx of new people to an area. |

Thanks, Ruth for your comments! I agree that making the stream of cider more visible would be best. Any suggestion how to make it more visible since it's a thin stream of clear liquid? |

Thanks,Michael for your comments. I agree that the frame on the far left is a bit distracting and I can clone it out if not using the image for photojournalism. For the stream of the cider, it's a challenging thing to make it more visible since the color of the cider is clear white. Any suggestion how to do it? |

Hi Ruth,
Very sharp image of the sea turtle! I like the way you include the incoming wave in diagonal line and the wet sand of the beach. To me, the turtle looks tired (after laying eggs?).
It's a beautiful shot and I don't have any suggestion for improvement! |

Hi Robert,
I like the way you include the top horizontal row of pumpkins at the top that makes the shot more interesting! Nice shot! |

Hi Michael,
You have captured a great moment of "topping off"! I appreciated your explanation of it as well. It's great that you have special access to get that shot because I don't think that this process is open to the public to see. I am curious to know if it's a routine process for those 2 workers to do so? If Yes, why don't they use the electric light instead of using cell phone for lighting?
It's a nice photojournalism shot! I don't have any comments for improvement. |

Hi Andres,
The shapes and the highlights/shadows of the building captured at low light created an interesting shot.
I'd prefer to crop tighter to eliminate the bright window on the left and make the building stand out more. Nice shot! |

Hi Jack,
Very nice shot! Even it's a familiar location, your image stands out from the norm. The lighting and the way you isolated the subject are well done! |

Hi Ruth,
I learned that opossums are good ally to have in the yard since they kill ticks and catch and eat cockroaches, rats and mice. I never see the opossum, but it looks like a rat, and it really scares me as it can be associated with disease and dirt. With the ratio of the opossum to the fence, it's a big rodent too.
For this image, the opossum is sharp and the food adds more to the scene.

Hi Susan,
I like the curved shape of the steps leading to different colors of the foliage. I agree with Steven that the image is not quite sharp. I'd suggest to add a painterly effect to make it as an impressionist image. Beautiful scene! |

Hi Wayne,
It's a fun shot! I think that the light is a bit harsh on the animal's face. I'd suggest to convert it into B&W that could help. |

Hi Steven,
Beautiful shot of the Algarve shoreline! The use of RAW file of your phone does make the difference. All the details of the cliffs and the sand are clearly seen. I did set up the RAW file for my phone in the past then I gave up because the large file size cannot be sent out via message or email. I am glad that it's beneficial here. Very well done! |
