Andres, Thanks for pointing out your detailed observation, such as: two paintings on top of each other, paint even on her leg, etc… I did not notice that until I read your comments.
I guess that since she painted with piping bags and she did not have a rotating stand (like a cake turntable), she might need a bigger painting to do so, and she got paint even on her leg because she might need to change to different directions to paint it. Just my thoughts! |

Thanks for your comments, Michael!
It is great for getting the shot when the phone camera is what I have available at that moment. I did ask her permission for the photo shoot. |

Hi Mary Ann,
The sunflowers are very sharp with your focus stacking technique. Your intention to include a big tree does help locking the viewers' eyes after they scrolled through rows of sunflowers. As most of the sunflowers turn towards the sun, there is one sunflower facing your camera which makes it stand out from the fields.
My question is: Since it's a local farm and it opens for plein air painting and photographers, did you have a chance to get to its East side to take photos of the front of the sunflowers? |

Hi Joan,
The sky replacement gives a different feeling and impact to the viewers. The bison and its calf seem to run away from the storm in this scene. I especially like pieces of grass around the bison's neck, which seem that it just got up and reacted to potential incoming storms. Nice wildlife shot! |

Hi Ruth,
Both color and B&W versions are beautiful! The B&W shows the contrast between not only the details but also the robustness of the rocks and the fragility of the ice. Your crop with a big piece of rock on the mid left in lighter color that has the formation of icicles like sunrays works very well. Great discovery and nice shot! |

Hi Robert,
The pose of the young buck is very elegant with his head turning to your camera and his derriere is covered by leaves (LOL!) The foreground leaves on the left corner are a bit blurry but they are not distracting elements at all. They make like your image was captured with a "shoot-through" technique.
Minor suggestion is to crop a bit tighter on the left frame to eliminate the dark stem and to make his face more focused but it's not a big deal to me. His face is tack sharp that makes your image beautiful! |

Hi Michael,
It's a beautiful shot! The colorful paint of the boat and the water reflection make the image stand out from the Ganges river scene. The composition is well done with the long boat with top roof can be well seen in the reflection.
The advertising of "www.jswcolouron.in" also draws my curiosity. This is a company that makes colour coated, light weight steel roof sheets with superior paint technology. I guess that those boats are painted with good paint from jswcolouron too that their paint still looks new.
Your image is well done and I do not have any suggestion for improvement. |

Hi Andres,
It's a very interesting image! The lighting effects have transformed the quality of your image into stunning, professionally-lit one!
In order to achieve the selected colored subject and the rest in B&W, I think that we normally need to set multiple exposure shots in camera or via the post processing using layers in PS. Here, you achieved the shot naturally and it's amazing! I especially like the way you composed the image with the main subject positioned towards the road below, and let the viewers see the "trulli" scene of stone huts with distinctive conical roofs behind. Very well done! |

Hi Pat,
It's a nice patriotic image to celebrate the fourth of July this month! The low resolution of the image because it was captured by the ipad is understandable. What I like the most is that you got nice winds to open and fly all the flags in one direction. Thanks for sharing! |

Thanks for your comments, Steven! I went back to the original photo and found that with the portrait mode, it allows to adjust exposure, saturation, highlights, shadows,…on the spot. |

Hi Ruth,
It's great idea to capture a full moon during the summer solstice when it appears lower in the sky because it's opposite the sun at its highest point. The leaves that you unintentionally captured in the moon makes your image more interesting. For Asian countries, the moon is a romantic subject in poetry and songs. People even poeticize the moon that there is a beautiful lady in it. To me, your moon with leaves in it turns out to be a romantic one.
One minor suggestion is to remove the leaves at the bottom part since the shapes are not clearly seen. Thanks for sharing! |

Hi Jack,
The fog has created a different feeling to the scene. It creates a blurred background and makes St Mary's cathedral stand out more. I like the perspective exaggeration effect of the wide angle shot that also includes the train cables on the top. It marks a kind of historic icon of San Francisco. I don't have any suggestion for improvement. Nice shot! |

Hi Steven,
I love the big cactus that frames the scene and also covers the empty sky. I'd prefer to leave it as is. Please also see my comments to Wayne. |

Hi Wayne,
It's an outstanding shot! You got the best lighting in this photo. The scene is so beautiful with the hills at sunrise and different kinds and layers of cacti : The foreground cacti with golden sharp needles, the middle ones nearly in silhouettes with rim light and the big cactus with red needles on the right that frames the shot. I am in awe of this photo and its beauty. I do not want to change anything. Thanks for sharing! |

Hi Steven,
The B&W conversion works for me. I second to Jack that the version you submitted in group #87 is more a story-telling image because the viewers can see the whole working area and the attention to details of the worker.
I love Waterford crystal very much, and your photo makes me love it more! Nice shot, and thanks for sharing! |
