Hi Mary Ann,
You have captured a very beautiful scene! The color contrast between the fall colored trees, the mountains, the white fences, and the black cattle creates a nice nature scenery. Your post processing to bring out more details of the sky works well.
In my personal opinion regarding the street at the lower right corner, I'd prefer to add back the winding street to add more interest to the image rather than crop out the street entirely. Thanks for sharing your nice shot! |

Hi Robert,
I agree with others' comments that the leaf on the left is a bit bright that draws the viewer's eyes there. Your new edit has addressed that.
I especially like the action of your shot when the bee just starts landing on the anthers of the cleome. Nice capture! |

Hi David,
Welcome to group 3! For this image, the conversion to B&W is a good choice. The scene with the old brick walls, the truck and the man in a bike give your photo a retro look. The vignette around the edges also helps cover the pipes on the foreground that could otherwise be distracting. The biker's motion blur adds more effect to your image, especially it was captured when he made a turn at the corner. Well done!

Hi Ruth,
The image of Aspen grove is so beautiful! The blue sky, the mountains in further distance, and the golden leaves are all the elements that constitute to a wonderful image. It's best when you captured the scene against the light but you were capable to brighten sucessfully the surrouding scene.
One minor suggestion is to crop tighter on the right (close to the tree) to eliminate the sky and the small tree there and to draw the viewers' eyes to the scene, but it's up to you to decide. Very nice image, and thanks for sharing your beautiful scene of Colorado! |

Hi Michael,
The image is very sharp and the lighting is beautiful ! I especially like that the colors of the flowers in the background are different which make the butterfly and the red flower in the foreground stand out more.Your post processing also works well.
I'd prefer to blur the second flower stem and the diagonal stem in the lower right corner a bit more. Also, I'd suggest to crop tighter on the top since there are some dark areas there. Nice shot! |

Hi Pat,
You have captured a beautiful sky before sunset on the roads. The lighting and the blending colors of yellow, blue, and orange of the sky are nicely done by the nature. The back lit clouds and a part of the still lingering sun there make the scene more interesting.
Your post processing has removed some distractions to help the viewers focus more on the sky. I agree with Ruth that the yellow sign on the lower right corner should be eliminated as well.
I'd suggest to fix the details of the sun a bit since it was overexposed. Thanks for sharing! |

Hi Wayne,
The composition works well with a portion of the sky on the top and its major part on the water reflection. The wavy waters add more interest to the scene. The angle you captured the scene is well thought to include the curve of the river bank and the fall colored trees against the brown hills, and at the same time to avoid some distractions you encountered (ducks, golf carts).
It's a beautiful scene and well composed image. I don't have any suggestion for improvement. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Steven, for your responses.
For this group, I always tried to use only iphone apps for editing or for creative ways. I am not sure whether using Photoshop is adequate or not. Great alternatives for me to explore! |

Hi Ruth,
In this image, you have used the cloudy days to your advantage! I like the way you captured the sunrays peek out from those stormy clouds. It gives me the feeling that "after the storm the sun will shine again"
I can see that the composition of your photo is focusing on the dramatic sky. I'd suggest to do a simple B&W conversion to add more impact to your photo that tellsa story! Nice shot! |

Hi Steven,
The sunrise color of your image looks natural to me. The composition works well with 3 equal parts: sand, water, and sky.
The silhouette of the 2 people on the beach does not add interest to the image because they do not have any connection to each other, except standing there. I'd also prefer to lighten the sand in the foreground a bit more to see the details of the sand. |

Hi Jack,
Your image brought back to me all the memories of my visit to Angkor Wat more than a decade ago. I still remember those statues lined up along the bridge at the temple gate.
The angle you shot makes the image more interesting. Thanks for sharing your nice image!
My question is: Was the statue of your image reconstructed by Unesco project (since all the statues there looked more muddy and had darker colors)? |

Thanks for your edits, Steven! I agree that the darken background makes the main subjects (pumpkin emoji) stand out. Could you tell me what app you used for editing? |
