Thanks Judy for visiting our group and for your comments. In my personal opinion, I agree with you and prefer to leave the white dots on the road because this space is the outlook area where I pulled off the road for safety due to extremely dense fog. In addition, since it's a sharp curved corner, if you look closely, you can also see that there are 2 more lane-lines (with one yellow line in the middle) outside the white dots of the outlook area. Crop off the white line will also lose the sense of driving through a sharp curve. |

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Ruth, I still remember that scary moment when our family drove around the mountains in extremely dense fog because the visibility is near zero. This outlook area is the safe location that we pulled into, and the time I took this image, the winds have helped clear much of the fog.

This image is beautiful with strong highlights/shadows. The winding road guides the viewers' eyes to travel from the foreground to the further distance. The cloudy sky on a sunny day is also a big + to the scene.
For my personal taste, I'd prefer to see only the lone tree with its shadow in the middle of the hills than having some other trees on the right side that could compete with each other. I hope that you had another version of it, captured in vertical.
For the B&W version, I agree with Ruth that more contrast is needed. |

The image of your truck is beautiful! It's quite sharp and its color blends well with the grass color. The composition works well with a clean background.
I wish that you could get closer to the truck to capture more details of the truck engine (since its hood is missing) and its broken windshield. In this image, the grass is so high and covered more than half of the truck. I'd prefer to lighten the background a bit more since the post processing has rendered the background a bit artificial. |

You have done a wonderful job to transform the original image into a beautiful art piece! You have brought out the details, the color, and the highights/shadows of the rusty truck. The pot of flowers in bloom through the windshield, on a spare tire, and on the floor at the bottom right corner brought more interest to the image.
I'd appreciate if you could tell us more about your post processing. |

It's an interesting image! You made me smile when you described that you already passed the scene, got off the exit, and turned around to take this picture. You could be an expert photojournalist! I wish that I could do that next time.
The composition works well, and all the signs are sharp. Well done! |

Your holiday lights captured in long exposure setting are beautiful. The silky and colorful light trails lead my eyes to the tower at a further distance. The snowflakes and the stars are quite sharp.
For the moon, it seems too big for the scene, very sharp in long exposure and therefore, it does not look real. I'd prefer to reduce the size of the moon and blur it a bit more. Also, I'd prefer to keep the moon in color instead of in B&W. |

54 degrees temperature is like summer for me, Randolph! I am surprised that the houses in Florida also have fireplaces because not all houses in the Northeastern areas of the U.S. here have them. The scene is cozy in Christmas spirit: the Merry Christmas banner, the poinsettia, the Christmas tree, the figurines, and the reindeer antlers headpieces on the treadmill. I'd prefer to crop tighter the top part of the image to eliminate the ceiling fan since it contradicts with the cozy fireplace.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I really admire people who find ways to cope with stress and build resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic. I lost one friend from my local camera club in Dec 2020 and recently one cousin in Jan 2021 due to Covid-19 virus.
I am working on my images, captured during this time, to create a portfolio to show how people practice resilience to get through and overcome hardship from the Covid-19 pandemic. Hope that will help me find small ways to build resilience. |

Happy New Year! The sunset on a cloudy day is so beautiful! I especially like the lacy patterns of the 3 trees. The reflection using Mirror Lab adds more feeling to the scene. (It's too bad that Mirror Lab only works with Android and I cannot try it!)
I'd prefer to remove the little branch in the middle of the left side since it's a bit distracting, and lighten up the road a bit more. |

All the 3 images are interesting and stand out from the norm. I am surprised that the quality looks very good in large prints when they were captured by iphone. I never print iphone photos in large prints.
For the image "Purple Dreaming" in the background, there are 3 white horizontal lines in the middle of the image. Are they the fabric strips you added in? They are intriguing and I'd want to know more about it.
You are very creative !
Wishing you a great success in selling them! |

You have done a great job by adding much more drama to the photo in post processing! The added frame with some natural flaws around the corners and the color of the entire scene give me the feeling that this is an old photo taken out from an album. I'd prefer to see the sign "Royal Crown Cola" a bit clearer to let the viewers know more about their shop. Very creative! |

Happy New Year!
You did a great job by changing the red color of the poinsettia into the tie-dyed color. The painterly look usually has an overall softness. For this image, the center of the flower is sharper than the leaves but it does not contain the interesting details as expected. I'd prefer to soften the center area as well to let the viewers's eyes focus more on the beautiful colors of the leaves. |

Leaving the wooden train in the background works for me. It gives me the comparison between the old and new way of transportation. The bright orange color of the truck makes it stand out from the brown color of the wooden train. Well done!
I also like the crop of Belinda, but I'd prefer to tone dowm the HDR a bit to make the color more natural. |
