Thanks, Jim. The software created the motion to the lanterns and made them like a live image. |

Thanks, Lisa. The competition I won a Merit Award is PID Individual Creative, Round 2 but at the moment, the award winning images have not been posted on the website yet. How do you know about it, Lisa? |

Yes, when I saw those lanterns, I immediately remembered your image with the hanging umbrellas. Thanks for inspiring me to take this image. |

Thanks, Ruth for your comments and for your suggestion. I did have a horizontal shot with a blue lantern circled by the white ones, but since those lanterns are hanged on a grid and are close to each other, I might also need to create a layer mask to clean up the extra ones. I will do it for a creative shot next time. |

At first sight, it does not seem an abandoned building to me at all. I like the different geometric shapes, colors of the windows, walls, and exteriors of this building. I'd prefer to enhance the cloudless sky a bit more to bring out the mood to the scene. |

Beautiful scene and beautiful lighting during the blue hour! The angle you shot this image is well composed. The bicycle in the foreground anchors the scene, the bridge leads the viewers' eyes to the buildings on the other side, and another bridge can also be seen on the left hand side. Since the scene composes a lot of elements, I'd prefer to crop tighter just before the two trees on the right hand side to emphasize the center of interest. |

The flamingo and its reflection are beautiful. I'd prefer to crop off the top part of the image to eliminate the 'real' dark bushes. The reflection of the bushes in the water will let the viewers explore the hidden nature of the scene.

I agree that taking Christmas lights photos is a real challenge. The Christmas lights will be well illuminated when it's completely dark in the evening, but the surrounding areas will then not be properly exposed, and we cannot get both. For this image, the subject and theme of the photo are immediately obvious, but I think that the Snow Family is a bit soft compared to the Scene photo.

The texture of the wall and the floor tiles are interesting.
The image is well composed with 2 archways that lead the viewers'eyes to a beautiful scene in the further distance. The floor at the 2nd archway is a bit bright but it does not bother me. Beautiful image! |

This building is very sharp, but the viewpoint and the perspective of the image have impacted on its appearance. The orange structure on the foreground could distract the viewers from the main building as well. I used Perspective Crop Tool in Photoshop to straighten the building.
I'd suggest to use the Original 1 image because it has a beautiful sky, and it has a bridge that leads to the building. I'd also prefer to crop the tall building on the left which could compete with the NW Mutual Co. building.
I am sure that your daughter will feel very special with your image of her new building as a gift. |
