They eye of the bird along with the food in its mouth tell the story. It's what I see first even though the large tree limb is a bit much.
Was this greatly greatly cropped in the computer? |

To me, the people on the deck off to the right make this a story. They could be viewing the boat. So to make them a larger part of the image, cropping the left off to the edge of the building would be helpful. In Camera Raw, working on bringing out the people might be good. Nice light on the sails. |

Nice colors on the barge and the simple water background work well. Still, I try to find something on the barge to settle my eye on. So although the initial impact is lost, there is a lot to study if one takes the time. Tough situation given where you are shooting from. |

The simple background really help the ice and the reflection pop out out. Great to see the textures in the ice and the exposure is right on. |

It's a good capture of the actual pinnacles. My problem with the image is that the very bright area in the center has nothing of interest and that's where the eye goes first. The foliage in front is a distraction. Here's a slightly different version with a crop that moves the bright area to the right and tones down the foliage. |

Turtle has a nice pose. It's well positioned in the frame although there may be too much water. Focus seems off to me. |

I did have many with the flag but decided it was a distraction from the man and the booms. |

This shot hits me as being just about perfect. The sun rays, the warmth, the tree framing the scene, and the bench. I might darken the lower right since that path take the eye away from the main part. |

Can't tell at first if I'm looking in or out and only after studying it can I see a few reflections. But in any case, this is a compelling image. The tree helps a lot to give some perspective. Good shot, I think. |

The angles of the tanks make a dramatic statement, especially the one one the left. The moon is interesting but may not even be necessary since the dark sky and soft clouds are enough. Slight toning down of the tank highlights might be tried. |

Nice job of selecting the best part of the image and making a fine vertical shot. The purple against the green works well but the yellow/orange centers of the flowers really make the picture. |

Dramatic capture and the eye travels all through the frame. The sun is well positioned and casts a perfect light on the boards. You could darken the lower left foliage which I feel is distracting. |

Nice, Fran. The softness, in this case, works well. The out of focus flower off to the right gives perspective to the main flower. |
