Good suggestions, everybody. Here's what I came up with. The image's subject is changed in that the window is more prominent which I suppose is okay but it's a different image now. The B&W suggestion was right on! |

Looks like a great meal in store for this fellow. That you caught the moment is remarkable. His eyeball is spooky...kind of too large for the head but it sure is compelling. |

David made a good suggestion with his crop.Seems that the focus point was behind the pod as the leaves are sharper. The colors are easy on the eyes and close to monochromatic. |

I know these are two insects doing their thing but the image seems confusing to me.The green background is competing with the other colors. Yet, it's a remarkable capture and the good points far outweigh the shortcomings. |

It generates a feeling of empathy for me. Nice all around colors and balance. I would select the eyes and brighten them. |

The shapes , colors and blurred background all work well. I wish it had been sharper. Neal will have something to say about using a rail and focus stacking. Good for you for giving it a try. You'll get better at. |

This is sooo interesting to me. It's kind of simple in that it's mostly yellow but then again there is a lot to look at and appreciate. The lines in the steps, the black handrails, the sharpness throughout. That yellow ceiling at the top sort of hold the image together. |

The center reminds me of a huge eyeball. It grabs your attention right off then the orange petals finish the job. Good work. |

A simple but effective image. Your use of Portrait mode worked very well especially since there was little in the background. The structure in the lower left could be cloned out. |

The way you've cleaned up the image worked pretty well but for me the cropping seems to have taken away some of the sharpness. I played a bit with your processed image using the Clarity, Dehaze and Sharpness filters and here's what I get. I think working on the original could be better too. |

Your description alone is worth the price of admission! The interesting image is a bonus. Do you lose sharpness in IR? It may be the long exposure but shouldn't the rocks and maybe the trees be sharp? In any case, a worthwhile image. |

The wide view makes this interesting and the stone wall takes the eye through the image. Have you tried flipping it so the wall is on the left. Sometimes that adds interest because we normally read left to right. I agree with darkening the road some to bring out more detail. |

Thanks, Dave. You're being very generous. I do think our group is a great one though. |
