The "eating" is actually going on which makes an already fine image even more remarkable. Did you see this happening or was it a happy accident? Whatever, the details in rope, and on insects are perfect. |

Contrast between old and new works here.Several dominant vertical lines are broken up with the smaller horizontal lines and for me all that detail works.
Point of interest; I used to work with a Larry Smith who grew up in Seattle. He said a relative was the guy this building was named after but I don't recall the details. |

Great initial impact and the red spot is icing on the cake. For me the colors on the iguana are unusual so with this and the great textures you have a winner. |

Lovely tones on the bird. I'd try to recapture some detail in the feathers but Stuart's image has a burned out spot. The simplicity of this image makes it easy to view. Subject is well positioned in the frame. |

The whiskers are so clear! The eye is more to the right than I'd like so a crop on the left would help. Bev's redo seems to have more of a vignette which is good too. Nice to see working on a live subject. |

Perfect curvy road taking us right into the setting sun. A little more detail in the very black trees would be helpful. You aced this assignment. |

Lovely sky with some matching tones in the well detailed foreground. I tried taking off some sky and I think that worked nicely. |

The abstract works better for me because the original has some recognizable stuff while the abstract is just that with some interesting curves and lines. |

The smiles make the image Looks natural which is great since you asked them to pose. Good exposure. I wonder if you had tried Portrait mode (iPhone?) if the background would have blurred out some? |

I see I'm a minority but I like the color image better. It seems to show off the ice better but without distracting. Also, in my viewing there is more ice detail in the color image than the B&W one. Maybe my imagination. |

The rather unusual angle is perfect although I don't know if you need the yellow elements in back. Perhaps more blur there would help. The detail in the poppy shows how well the phone performs. Good work |

This has great impact and my only wish is that there be a way to remove the sky effect from covering the mountains, which are great in themselves. The foreground cactus gives needed depth to the image.I didn't know there was a new Distressed FX so thanks Jerry. |

Hi Richard,
Note sure what you ,mean by "rim around the heads" but I can tell you that all the optical "effects" were natural events. Because I was focused on the people, the sun was wildly out of focus so between that and some refraction within the lens the light lines showed up. Hope that's some sort of answer. |

Thanks, Jerry. I'm using a 12 pro so I will look at that. Sometimes I don't know how I want to crop until I get home. So I and try to take in more that necessary. Hate to lose the pixels but for our purposes it works. |
