This has great subject matter from foreground, mid range and background. All those levels also contain interesting subjects. Composition is good with the lady on the left helping us to look at her cattle.Colors strike me as fine for that cloudy day. |

He posed for you and you did all you could. Cute fellow. You could pop a tiny catch light in his eye or try bringing out some detail that might already be there. |

You are showing the stack well. I agree the bird adds an important element of interest. Can you crop a bit more to enlarge the bird and remove the rocks off to the left with a clone tool? |

This is really gritty and tells a story well.B&W was a good choice too. For me, there is too much black area in the lower right and I wonder if some adjustment with the Shadows slider would help. You made a good selection of the wheel chair and can although I wish the background looked a bit more natural. |

Since I usually expect to see an insect when I open a Thompson image, this came as a nice surprise. Neal's use of Helicon Focus is so interesting. In this case I'd try angling the stalk more and offsetting the center more. Maybe you'd like the result, maybe not. |

Boy, this is a tough one, indeed. Can you do more with the sky? Making it darker might bring out the white plane more. Certainly a vignette would help. That plane is so white and lacking any detail. I assume you've tried all the available sharpening tools? Motion blur, High Pass, etc. |

I've always loved hay bales so I'm a sucker for this one which shows them so well. I would take out at least half the sky to bring the eye down to the bales and the interesting curves in the plowed field. It would also accentuate a horizontal format adding to the open feel of the image. |

You tell a fine and interesting story to go with those images. You could put a gray or Day-lily colored box around the entire set. It would help the images hang together and show better with the black background we use in the site. |

What's not to like! I can feel being on that path. |

Nice how the treatment made the building have an "oldish" look. The detail in the trees is good also and stops them from being dark blobs. Sometimes a foreground can be in the sun while the sky is dark, however, in this case some of the water could also be darker. I wonder if just using a Burn tool on the bottom half of the image would be useful? |

Perfect capture to tell the story. Love how the guy is dancing away from the flames which look so intimidating.Having only two main elements in color worked beautifully. Thanks for reminding us that frame grab shots are possible. |

I like how you straightened the tower, brought out detail in the trees and added interest in the sky. Not sure about the brownish (on my screen) water and rocks though. |
