1 Jul 18 Comment The angle of the cone helps add interest. This is fire season out here in the West so the image has a sort of threatening feel to it.It could have been some evergreen tree! It's the extreme contrast between the darks and fire that give the image such impact. Jul 11th

51 Jul 18 Comment I don't know what the salmon colored object is but it certainly doesn't matter. It's well places in the frame and is a great contrast to the blues. While we know it's water, the image is still abstract. The diagonals take one right to the color. Jul 11th
