Good eye! I see the faces (sort of). Nice job on the background. The simplicity is perfect. |

What makes this for me is the tilt of the car along with the dried brush under the bumper. Processing for a grungier look would help too and perhaps Lee is on the right track with that. It's a good eye to find and capture this image. |

Yikes, I'm glad you cleared up the How I Did It part. I was baffled about how to respond until I scrolled down. Anyway, I find the image very subtle and perhaps the tree should either be lighter or darker. The precise evenness of the background says Photoshop Filter and would be better if you could make it irregular. |

It's very dramatic and the black background works well here. There is a good amount of vignetting so the eye goes to the center of the rose.I would have liked more detail in that very center leaf though. I wonder if it's there and could be brought out. |

I don't see that the foreground adds much to the very interesting barn and snow capped mountain. Lee's crop is about where I'd go too. After that there is good composition, exposure and detail. |

Great answer to your lesson objective. Could you vignette it some? If you did, I cant's tell.

Lee, Dennis and I had an exchange on just your point. I finally came out on the side of it was better to expose the problem than to ignore it.I We felt there was no exploitation since there was no commercial purpose to the image.Nonetheless,it's a troublesome issue.
Note to Dennis; how about sending to all our group that paper you sent me on this subject? |

The color scheme you've chosen gives the image a fun and joyful feeling. The variety of shades keeps the eye moving around the frame. Post processing was a great improvement over the original. |

I like the warm tones in this image. The table invites me to sit there and enjoy the view. What if you cropped the table on the left? |

There's a surreal look to the colors that makes this so interesting. The subtle curve of the hill prevents the horizon from being static. The vertical tree lines also help in this regard. |

Three apps here I've never used so thanks. The colors are great and the boat perfectly positioned.Very creative work that also demonstrates masterly use of apps. |

I assume this is hand held so that makes all the detail all the more impressive.Perhaps it can be improved on even more as others suggest. Exposure throughout is spot on. Nice going. |

The color and horizontal lines of the flowers contrast nicely with the vertical and greens of the plant.Great texture in both. Congrats on new phone. |
