1 Mar 23 Comment I thought about that but decided that the depth of the image would be destroyed if the foreground was eliminated. There is a potential for having several images carved out of this one. Mar 8th
1 Mar 23 Comment What a great action photo and I'd like to see more. As it is, it is all about the lady. Maybe that's just right but it would be nice to include more. Lightening the faces of the near rower might also widen the interest. Mar 7th
1 Mar 23 Comment The subject are the clouds and you've handled that nicely. Perhaps even more work on the shadowed islands to get some definition between them. I'd probably crop both sides a bit and the water about half. That would accentuate the cloud structure more. Mar 7th
1 Mar 23 Comment Great precise reflection. I would like to see more definition of the layers, perhaps the shore line lightened some, and the line between the trees and the mountains. It's interesting to note that the tree reflections in the water, particularly on the left are more defined than in the actual land. The snow in the hills adds a lot and could be dodged to make it stand out. Mar 7th
1 Mar 23 Comment The quality of the image using a phone is remarkable. It obviously could be enlarged to a great extent if you used the whole image...Do you have the ability with a phone to manage the settings for for exposure or is that just automatically set? Mar 7th
1 Mar 23 Comment Interesting subject with good definition in the flower. I'm surprised that you were able to get that depth of focus with f/2.8. Dodging the flower a bit would increase its impact. Mar 7th
1 Mar 23 Comment Quite an experiment. Thanks for the explanation. Hand held, no less. I wonder what a faster shutter speed and higher ISO would have done with the image. The advantage of this technique for outdoor insect photos has been explored. It's difficult to get that many photos of different focus levels into such a small space, even with the most rapid shutter burst. Interesting to say the least. Mar 7th

63 Mar 23 Reply Last night I presented this image along with others at camera club. I was surprised that the humor of the image was not once mentioned. I think the strength of the image is the message; a doorknob, now alive, frighted by a spider. Mar 8th
