1 Jan 23 Comment Agree with Sol's comment. What a great fun subject. It appears that you were almost on the ground to take the shot. I'd lighten up the feet a bit since the feet are a great part of the action. Nice work again. Jan 5th
1 Jan 23 Comment Burrrr! It looks cold. The I phone image is amazing. How can it get that depth of focus at f 1.8. Excellent capture of an interesting and somewhat puzzling scene. Makes one want to know why the ice formed that way. The trees in the back are neatly
reflected in the water to create leading lines. Nice work.

1 Jan 23 Comment The Guinness sign and the glass are both in great focus. A wine glass and a beer sign? Unusual subject. Good exposure and nice to have the vignetting. Jan 5th
1 Jan 23 Comment It looks almost like a well executed painting. Good color contrast. Hand held at 600 mm. What were your settings? Jan 5th
1 Jan 23 Comment Nice subject well exposed and sharp for the pup. The merge of the flipper with the frame is a problem of composition. I'd prefer to see the background sharper. The f3.5 was probably caused the lack of depth. Nice color. Jan 5th
1 Jan 23 Comment Macro photography has been greatly helped with its major defect of narrow depth of focus by the ability to focus stack. You picture definitely illustrates this. Another great illustration would be to see what the depth would look like with the highest f/stop. Jan 5th

63 Jan 23 Comment I would not have guessed the subject. Great depth and nice shadows. Yes, totally out of the ordinary. Must have been fun working with this subject. Nice work. Jan 5th
63 Jan 23 Comment Nice setup with great colors both in the main subject and in the background. Shadows are nice. Perhaps adding a third smaller pine cone and darkening the background to make it appear to fall off in the distance would be another option. Jan 5th
63 Jan 23 Comment I would never have guessed the subject. Great capture. Sharp, great contrasting colors selected. Design heavily weighted to the right perhaps suggesting two separate subjects. Jan 5th
63 Jan 23 Comment On my monitor the image appears a bit dark. The framing of the nail cartons which is the main subject might be better accentuated by dodging the wood a bit. There is a hint of a shadow in the dark right upper part of the window and I wonder if it could be lighten some to increase the depth. Unusual subject Jan 5th
63 Jan 23 Comment Great capture of an intriguing subject. I think it was good to make it monochrome. No suggestions for improvement since it is excellently done as is. Jan 5th
