Nice capture of an active conflict between bird and fish. It's a bit confusing but your settings for exposure and color
are right on. That eye is really prominent. |

The clouds are really outstanding. The foreground lacks contrast. The pole in the center of the picture and the white spot on the left corner should be removed. Dark green color dodging would open the base some and provide some depth and show off the buildings a bit more. What an interesting panorama to capture. |

The crop of the original image works for me. I'd like to see a bit more contrast and sharpening in the bulb of this interesting plant. Might try to increase the vibrancy some. |

Simplicity often adds a lot to a subject and this photo has
that characteristic. The weathered steps and long standing old bricks produce an interesting pattern. |

I agree with Sol's comment on the eyes. This is an interesting critter. Lightening up the black areas about his lower body would increase depth. Yeah, he looks sad. Good subject. |

To me it looks like an image of two lungs! The top of the image is a bit cut off. I agree that the background was not important to the photo but I'm not sure you really caught what should have been extreme sharpness with a rail and focus stacking. Not sure what might have gone wrong. |

Hi Priscilla,
This is an outstanding image. The color is good, image sharp, composition with shadows in the background work very well. This would make a great large print.

Nice image with great sharpness, and a feeling of depth. Lighting is done very well. You might try using black velvet for backgrounds for images like this. It absorbs the light and does not reflect. |

Hi Murphy,
What riotous color collection. It really stands out against a black background. The image is sharp, even the water droplets. I guess I'd like to see something in the background, even blurred light. |

Interesting subject. The light reflected off the basket defines the subject and the radish is well placed and adds to the limitation of the outflow. I think it is a bit dark. The stroke is well done for this image. Nice work. |

Thanks for supplying the history of the image. The insects add interest to the image. It is quite bright on my monitor and I would tone it down some to add contrast. You did well considering the condition of the weather and gardens. I think the background is about right and not distracting. Good work. |

Hi Shaji,
Good color, positioning, sharpening and story telling. I'd like to know more about the nature. There are a lot of reflections on the insect and I'm not sure how you could reduce these. I agree with Murphy's comment on the framing of the image. Good work. |

I think there were about 30 slices. By adapting a 100 mm
Canon macro to a Sony 6300 (not full frame sensor) there is increased magnification due to the extended movement of the lens away from the sensor. I'm not sure what the actual magnification is. This is accentuated by cropping in the processing. |
