The image appeared a bit "muddy" brown for me. I really had a lot of fun working with the image. I took it into PS and first used Levels; next used a cooling filter from the Black and White. This followed by a lot of dodging and burning. Finally the image was cropped. Thanks for submitting the image. |

What an unusual photo. Perhaps a bit dark. Good color. You get into the most interesting places. The bright line on the left is a bit distracting. |

Interesting subject. The darkness of the base of the bridge could be lightened some by dodging and that would give more image information. Nice contrast to the sky. I wish it was a bit warmer at the level of the bridge. |

Nice scene and well done. Flipping the photo works well. The grassy field could be a bit warmer color. Nice accentuation of the dark and light in the field adds to the appearance of depth. Very sharp though out. |

Tom's burning did add definition in the feathers. The contrast with the rocks really works. There are a few distracting elements in the rocks that could either be eliminated or darkened. |

How interesting. I got the impression that the picture is not level. The movement of the bicycles is emphasized by the blurred background and this adds to the scene. |

Hi Priscilla,
I agree with Murphy's evaluation. This leaf gives the feeling of being like a wave with some close and deep areas. By manipulating the shadows a bit more you might be able to accentuate that feeling. You could also increase that feeling by intensifying the vibrancy. |

Hi Barb,
Nice photo subject and well presented. Your question: You should be able to get everything in focus and I suspect that the reason you didn't was because you didn't take a photo layer at that level. I often make sure that the first image, whether close or far, is out of focus and that the last image is out of focus. Helicon focus will then just discard the out of focus selections (or you can do it manually). |

Murphy,
Great color, good definition in the leaves. I would not have suspected that the resulting image came from the original. Good work. But....It looks a bit flat (no depth) and I have often felt that a plain black background can be tinged with an out of focus strip of something(s) taken from the original to give some feeling that the image was not just a copy off a flat board or copier top. |
