1 Nov 24 Reply It does give it a sense of place while if it wasn't there, it would be more of a minimalist image. It would work either way.

1 Nov 24 Comment I go along with the idea that the cloud shown here is volcanic. The definition of Could Tray didn't seem to match this. I really like the arrangement that you have captured. I like the bit of the foreground in the left bottom corner. It seems like the white balance might be off a little. That could be from the sun coming through haze. Nov 21st
1 Nov 24 Comment Great clouds. They do show up like that here once in a while. You might be able to lighten the shadow areas a bit more and you might want to see how you would like to crop a little off the left to give a little more balance to the scene. Nov 21st

1 Nov 24 Comment I think that it looks great. Cluttered backgrounds are always a problem. Something that I have tried when I do this is to increase the size of the subject slightly so it cover at least some of the ghosting in the blurred background.

You might crop the white area off the right side. This would move the subject out of the center and looking more into the frame. 		Nov 21st
