I do like the way it looks like the direction that the Merganser is looking. I would like to see it moved further to the left so it would have more room in front of it. I don't know what was cropped off. You might have to tone down the log since the smaller part of it does draw the attention away from your subject. |

That was a great setup they provided for you. I don't know if there was a separate light for the area around their hands. It seems to be almost over exposed. I don't know if burning that area could be done, but I would like to see it darker to come closer to matching the rest of the scene. Everything else seems perfect to me. |

That title jogged my memories but I had to Google it to bring it back to me.
That was a good pose that the gulls did for you. I am thinking they did that so they could watch you with their right eyes.
I do like the rock that they were on. Did you get more of it? I like a vertical one on just the right side. The birds don't show up more than to be a distraction for that but I like the reflection along with the rock. It was a good example of the Golden Hour. |

I have heard of a two story "Facility" at an ancient hotel. I can't quite imagine how that would work. We did have a 2 holer when I was a kid but it wasn't used by more than just family. Something you might try is a faint vignette to help keep the eye on your subject. |

It's too bad that you couldn't have taken more time going through. I've never been there but I have seen a lot where dust has been thrown to give a nice ray to the sunlight passing in. You did a good job for the difficult situation. Can you try an HDR program to see if that might help? I wonder if you could have gotten by with a slower shutter speed to get a lower ISO. The image stabilization on the cameras and lenses today might have gotten you down to ISO 1600 if you were able to do a little shutter step when you pressed the shutter. :) |

I never think about what the Eastern part of Oregon looks like. I've been in the Western part several times but just around some of the other borders a little. Great formations you've captured. I like what you have done but I might not have done so much burning in on the sky. It does show especially by the spire on the top right. |
