1 Apr 22 Comment You have handled this great find very well. About the only thing that I might suggest is to see what you think about a little cropping off the left and the bottom so remove some negative space and move the line of nests away from the center for more balance. Apr 23rd
1 Apr 22 Comment This is a great comparison. It is certainly a departure from your normal type of mountains. I like how the tower stands out against the darker buildings behind it. I am somewhat bothered by the bright sky on the left. Instead of adding even more of it by not cropping so close to the building to make it more centered, I might suggest moving your camera further to your left if possible. This would also position the tower so the background buildings were completely behind the tower. You might need to pay attention to the building at the bottom so it wouldn't be a distraction. 1 Apr 22 Comment Great image. I like the sharpness in the head and leg. The body is a bit soft and you could have had a little more DOF by stopping down but that is a minor point. I didn't try it, but how would it be if it were flipped so it would have been looking to the right? Apr 23rd
1 Apr 22 Comment I like the sharpness that you have with the out of focus background. I was thinking that the brightness of the background green seemed to draw interest away from the bee. When I was checking to see about toning that down, I noticed that there was a lot of noise in the out of focus portions of the image. Here is with my suggestions. Apr 23rd
1 Apr 22 Comment I like the pose and the color from the setting sun. I thought that the pastel colors in the subject and the background did not set off the subject. Increasing the contrast worked well. Apr 23rd
1 Apr 22 Comment I like that you have the entire critter sharp and the out of focus area at the top and bottom and the slight vignetting helps keep your eye from "trotting" off. I kind of wonder what would have happened to the composition if you had moved the camera angle to show it more head on? Apr 20th
