It looks like I wasn't the only one struck by the contrasts. Blonde vs. Dark, Young vs. Old, Tall vs. Short, the differences between the two statues. I really like the lighting without any dark shadows to hide the details. |

I do like the reflection. To me this could be two separate images. The mobile on the left looks more interesting to me and it seems like you almost have an intereting reflection on a panel there. You might have positioned yourself to capture it and just used that side in an image. |

I would like to see the background more out of focus. You might not be able to open your lens much more but I did see something recently that might work here. You might use your flash to give more light to your subject and it might die off enough to darken the background to draw more attention to your subject.

I agree with the B&W. You might have darkened the sky a little to show off the clouds a little more. You don't mention the lens you used but you might have tried a lower camera and moved a bit closer, if you could, to get rid of some of the textured background as well as draw even more attention to the corner post. |

I do like the entire image being just the blossom without any distraction from a different background. Something minor, you might have been able to position the camera so you weren't cropping off the petal at the top. |

I do like the framing better in this one since it isn't covering something with more detail. The Helicon Focus keep the subject nicely in focus without getting too much detail if you had stopped your lens down to get more depth of field. |

Thanks for your comment. I don't really want to use the clouds that someone else has taken. Even though I do very little if any exhibiting any more, I can see where using clouds that are not your own could cause an image to be DQ'd if entered into competition. This was the actual clouds in the scene. I have other clouds, from that day, that I can slip into another scene with Luminar. I really need to organize my cloud files. The clouds in the December image were from my file. |
