I really like this. The monochrome works well for it. You have good tonal value throughout. If possible, you might have been a little further to your right so the light cloud area would create more of a triangle with the two hills.

I think there is a lot of interest in this. I would like to see a stronger subject to catch my eye. Would it be possible to get this when the light is lit and casting a glow on the wall? It is well placed in the composition. |

I'll go along with the crowd about the sky. The subject is great.
Since Beverly mentioned using Lumnar 4, I wondered how it would handle replacing the original sky with something else. It wasn't the best since the highlights on the trees blend in to the white sky but it was interesting how well it did.
Using an HDR software program might have given better contrast for Luminar to work with. |

I think the colors in the face set off by the black feathers is great.
To me the white of the feathers does tend to draw the eye away from the face. You might try some burning or maybe add vignette to tone them down a little. |

I think that the Helicon worked well for you. I don't know about the Topaz sharpened image. It seems to be a little overdone. You could try having both versions on different levels and play with the opacity to see what looks best.
I don't know what you used for a background. I like it a lot better than if it was just black. I would like to see it behind the green foliage too. Maybe a lower camera angle could have been used. |

What surprised me was that this colony was pretty much surrounded by city and I didn't know that it even existed. |

The one image is a screen shot of Goodle maps satellite image of the area. You can see a running trail and a street at the bottom. The car on the street gives a sense to the size of the individual mounds. This things could have a body length of 15-17 inches. There were some between the path and the street but not in a position where I could get a good shot of them. |
