I do like this and find it an interesting image. I was thinking the same thing about the perspective correction to the buildings so I was wondering what would it look like if the side buildings weren't even shown.
Something you might have tried is holding the camera closer to the ground. This could have emphasized the children even more to make them the main subject. |

The clouds are great. I would like to see a 4 master sailing through the scene instead of an empty sea. You would probably have to closer to the beach to show even that well.
Keep the clouds in your file in case you might want to slip them into another image later. |

I like the various levels of vegetation showing with the different colors. I agree with Joey that a slight vignette could help direct the viewer's eye to help keep the it from wandering throughout the image. |

You could crop off the light part of the background on the right to keep the eye from wanting to wander out in there and out of the image. I would get rid of the little red border between the nose and the dark background. I would like to see all of the ear and either crop off the nose or include all of it. |

I think this is great. The unusual camera angle give it great interest. You might consider adding a light stroke around the image to separate it from the dark background. |

I like the detail in the pollen area. It might help to draw attention to that by doing a little dodging there and darkening the less interesting areas by either burning or maybe adding a slight vignette. You could possibly crop a little off of the right side. Maybe punch up the saturation a bit too.
I noticed that there is a slight ghosting in the dark upper left corner. Is this some kind of halo effect from one of the out of focus layers? |
