Hi, Barbara, this is a nice study via the dialogue. I, too, like the original image best. |

Hi, Carole, I like your image, but find the "closed" sign distracting. I think it pops a lot. |

I like your image, Jerry. I think our dark tones and the way your handled the shadows was effective. Since, fog is wispy in nature, I like as your presented it. Stuarts rendering while certainly a way to see the scene, seems to me, to loose some of the natural softness, you captured in your version. This image, I can feel, see, sense the moist air and fell engulfed in the scene. Well done, in my opinion. |

Indeed, Stuart, the repost is such an improvement, since the white on the nose was distracting. I like how there is action in the image with the way the actor play the role of merchant has his hands placed. Too bad, he isn't smiling, that might help the sale. The tonality is a nice monochrome, but perhaps not much pop. It seems a little flat. Perhaps some levels and/or curve adjustment could enhance it.
I like the story, the composition and the subject, nonetheless. |

Santiago, once again welcome to our study group. I like your image. The background doesn't bother me, it appears sufficiently shallow and blurry. For me, as such, the blurred background provides a nice way to give context within the image. The swans are lovely. |

Your image, Stan, is well composed, with excellent tonality and texture. Your verticals and horizontal line work. I actually thought the right side of was not sufficiently vertical, but with further study it is very good. The balcony just creates a slight allusion otherwise. You did well with creating a quality perspective view. |

Lovely image with truly nice tonal range with peaceful look. It could definitely be a story in so many ways. Perhaps, it might an alien putting its foot in the water. No, but seriously, it does look like child and it is wonderful as a monochrome image. |

Wonderful composition, but the contrast is excessive in my opinion, making it seem a bit muddy. |

Beautiful image, yet the sky takes me a little out of the wonderful scene. I agree with the other comments. |
