Jerry, the Egret is beautiful and very sharp. I think it could be just tiny bit lighter, though to set it apart from background. I find the 3 background elements very distracting. I think this image would be perfect without those elements. |

Stuart, the monochrome quality of the image is excellent. The subject is very interesting and well composed. The Topaz AI Denoise did make a difference. I resist getting the new Topaz products because I use Adobe LR and PS and ON1 little with DxO Nik. However the amount of grain reduction is tempting. I just hate buy more stuff, every time I turn around. Well done. |

I like near perfect symmetry and wonderful tonality of the image. I say near perfect in that it looks like the advertisement panel on each side of the Elevator are not spaced to achieve good symmetry and yet you seem dead center with your focus on the escalator. Nicely done image. |

Chris, I like the image with the composition and leading lines and the interesting subject. My only suggestion is the subject (the gondolier)is perhaps a little to dark or the background is to bright white and my eyes feel uncomfortable focusing on the subject. |

I wish this image had more reveal by opening up the shadows. I also am confused what the subject is. What are the flower gardens...are they the indentations in the brick base or are they the metal things in the upper part of the frame. They high contrast makes it hard for me to ascertain orientation. I at first thought it was the side of brick facade, but the title suggest something else. Without a title, one would never figure it out in my opinion. Was there post work done? If so what was used? |
