I like the monochrome conversion very much. The texture of the stone is wonderful. However, your framing of the stone house forced you to chop it off during perspective correction and that is a shame. I also would like to see a little less of the foreground wall. Wonderful house. |

Stuart, I like the image and your second variation has implemented some of the comments quite nicely. I have no further comments. There is a cool story here and interesting drama in the sky. Well done. |

It is interesting. I do not care for the angle of view. Somehow for me, the oval element within the light shaft of the arched floors I find competing and distracting. I think the shaft at best should be photographed square in the frame. Finally, the structure is too dark. |

Very Dynamic. Excellent image. I think as others have mentioned that opening up shadow on the surfer is a good enhancement. |

Thanks for the positive comments, Stuart. Nonetheless, I am curious with your comment about red! This is reflective light coming from the right of the frame (area in shadow) to the left that is lit brightly on the orange leaves. I stand by the words "sunset" since the light is just before sunset and, in my opinion, qualifies. |
