I like how your image generated discussion. A challenging subject and ways to see it sure promotes dialogue. I like the latest edit, Stuart |

All the mage, color and monochrome and wonderful. This is a wonderful panoramic view of the whaling station. Thanks for sharing and showing us the details with such care, fine tonality, composition and sharpness. It is a good image for my study in this type of landscape photography. |

I like the image compositionally, but find the tones a bit flat for some reason. Perhaps the bird needs brightened some to get more detail...not quite sure why it doesn't fully resonate with me. |

Helen, the image is very nice tonally and is certainly sharp. I think I would prefer the original converted to monochrome. The color version is far more appealing and interesting with the addition of the trees and swirling clouds. Those clouds get lost in the cropped version and I find the lighthouse just small enough to almost be lost in context without some landscape to support it. |

Stan, the tonality, composition, angle of view, subject matter, story and sharpness of the image is wonderful. Well done. This is terrific. |

Lovely image, Don. I like the tonality. I think that f6.3 is little shallow. I don't think f15 or higher is necessary, but f11 might be the right place to be depending on your distance from the subject. |
