64 Sep 22 Comment Jerry, I find the discussion very much in line with my thoughts. However, I like your first alternate image best; not crazy about the crop. I think the darkening of the foreground helps to minimize any distracting bright blur due to the out of focus fish. Sep 10th
64 Sep 22 Comment I find the image tells a great story. I agree that the crop really compresses the scene in a way that make the waiting riders and the action riders be even more dynamically engaged. Tonality is great. I suggest just a touch more darkening, not much though, of the top of the frame part of the sky. Sep 10th
64 Sep 22 Comment Helen, this is a very nice composition and alternative view of the Golden Gate Bridge. I think the clouds could have a little more tonal definition doing it selectively, while taking care not to over due it. I think that will help the view keep the bridge in view without some pulling up to the sky for a balance view of the scene. Sep 10th
64 Sep 22 Comment I do agree with Jerry that there is some structure noise, but it doesn't bother me particularly. I think the tonality, sharpness and overall composition is very good. Sep 10th
64 Sep 22 Reply Jerry, thanks for noticing the water mark. I forgot to remove the check mark for my signature when I exported the image from my Lightroom, because I resize the image for Stan before posting since it was over 1000 KB. Sep 10th
64 Sep 22 Comment I have to agree with Jerry. It would work with either the seagull or without. I do wonder for an option if the seagull had less shadow, how would that look or darken to create more of a silhouette. Both ways may add additional interest. Sep 10th
64 Sep 22 Comment Definitely abstract...it could be metal, plant, plastic, etc. depending on how it was created. The way you present the image allows the view to think in this way. Your description is the only thing that makes us know what it might be. Well done tonal and compositional presentation. Sep 10th
