I like the layers and contrast a lot and it works in black and white. My only thought is if photographed at an angle, it might be more dramatic then being shot straight on as you did here. I feel it is missing some drama to give it that added punch which is most telling in the color version which I prefer. |

Nice image, Stuart. I actually like the color version a bit more than the monochrome. However, it works as monochrome too. Very nice story and feel in each image. |

Interesting lines and shadows with good tonal conversion to monochrome. However, I find the background distracting |

Excellent image. My only nit, and it is perhaps more of a question, is that if printed would some of the areas of where you tried to increase contrast and texture end up looking a little over processed? |

Very nice use of the distortion filter in PS. The new image in color as well as in the form of the monochrome conversion is very interesting and works well. Similarly the original image (original 2) look great too but has a totally different feel. I like the color and the monochrome. Each evoke a different yet pleasing sense of flow and tonal variations. |

The tonality of the Black and White conversion seems nice. The sharpness, clarity and depth of field is good, however, without a clear sense of subject I am not sure what the story is or what is being communicated. |
