Interesting...but I just use my iPhone if I don't have one of my Mirrorless or DSLRs with me.

Very creative, Jerry. I like the way the lines lead me into the image and then allows my viewing to play around and see what is going on. It is a really nice and fun image. |

Stuart, I like the idea, but it doesn't quite work for me for a couple of reasons. First, behind the bees at the top of the main blossom, there is a loss of detail due to what appears to be blown out areas. Second, in line with my tastes, the secondary blossom in the background could be a bit more blurred. My eye tends to go there and then back to the highlights, so I miss focusing in on the bees and the foreground blossom as a whole. This might be a case where depth of field and angle of view is not quite working well together. Even if the highlights could not be reduced some, at least in post processing, blurring or darkening the blossom in the background might help some to shift attention to the main blossom and the bees. |

The presentation is wonderful. The vanishing points for this image are beautifully presented. While I generally prefer to see true symmetry in relationship to the frame, I find the slight twist to left quite appealing. Well done. By the way, I like the color version, too, for the way that the tower fades into the mist. While the mist is only slight, it made me think of a friend of mine who live in the John Hancock Tower in Chicago who told me that he would have to call down to the lobby to find out what the weather was really like before going out. |

I like the image composition and position of the workman, however, I wish I could see what he really is looking at. I also think the darks are bit too dark, so I recommend the shadows be open up a lot more. |

I like the color version a lot. In the mono version, the tones and textures do not flow together in way that makes it as appealing as the color. |

The tone, use of indirect light and texture are quite well done. The background works in this case quite nicely. There was something a little unsettling about the pose, and I wonder if Stuart hasn't hit upon what that might be. Perhaps the wide angle did exaggerate the facial features a little...just not sure. |
