31 Jul 20 Comment Wonderful story and subject. I wish the lead engine had a little more detail. The black perhaps could be opened up some. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful scene. I was recently watching a BBC show about trains in Britain and think it is so marvelous how that country still sustains main of the old steam locomotives. Jul 24th
31 Jul 20 Comment Lovely tonality, texture and presentation. Jul 24th
31 Jul 20 Comment Nicely done image which leads me through with composition and tonal variation. Jul 24th

35 Jul 20 Comment Lovely image, Sharon. I like everthing about the tone and composition. I have a sense though that the subject is leaning ever so slightly. Jul 24th

62 Jul 20 Reply A tad on the shirt and apron on his right. Jul 24th
62 Jul 20 Comment Very nice image either as you have presented or as suggested by Oliver. I think both offer a different feel that is genuinely appealing. Jul 24th
62 Jul 20 Comment Nicely done environmental portrait. I suggest opening up the shadow of darker areas of the blacksmith. Jul 24th

64 Jul 20 Comment Beautiful Image!! Jul 12th
64 Jul 20 Comment This reminds me of Montezuma's Castle in Camp Verde, AZ. It is a nice Monochrome conversion. I seems to me to be to close to get a sense of place. But, not having been at this site I don't know what your limitations for photographing were? Jul 12th
64 Jul 20 Comment Excellent...this is a keeper Jul 12th
64 Jul 20 Comment I think this is a pleasing documentary image Jul 12th
64 Jul 20 Comment I really like the image. I suggest correcting the horizon line. Jul 10th
64 Jul 20 Reply I still prefer my presentation Jul 10th
64 Jul 20 Reply We all have our interest in a certain perspective, I prefer mine. Jul 10th
64 Jul 20 Reply Huh! You would have to show me what you are seeing. See my comment to Stephen wherein, I see little different from image except some edge change. Jul 10th
64 Jul 20 Reply Beats me what you are talking about; and I don't see the point in this case in your comments or the suggested edit. BTW, there is a rise on Michigan Avenue at this point that places this building in a slightly different perspective then if it was on level plane. I have used done lens correction often, but in this case I chose the lens profile and a slight vertical correction to get all the adjacent buildings lines parallel to one another and to the Tribune building. The image was converted to monochrome with little more done than some tonal work and a crop at the set. Your manipulation looks to me only like you cropped it more and to what purpose? Jul 10th
