Carol, Yes perhaps! However the birds were moving around a lot and I elected to use Auto ISO as I often due with bird photography. Thanks for the comments. |

Mike, you have a beautiful event unfolding here. It is fine looking bird and is quite pleasing in terms of sharpness, depth of field, contrast, tonality, composition and resolution. That action makes me think I am right there seeing this landing occur.
Wonderful. Wow 1/3200s! Exhibit it, enter it....I think you could win with it. |

The softness of this image makes so artistic and beautiful to behold. I find that it gives a perspective that I would not ordinarily thing of in beholding a flower. I am a bit torn between want to not be distracted by the green on the right side of the image or recognizing that it gives context to the scene. I think my only other thought is the white in the flower be just a tad sharper. Perhaps, Mike has come upon a way to achieve that. |

Tom, you have a wonderful composition of your subject. I like your image a lot for its sharpness, tonality, bright eye, and contrasting colors. This is so much about texture and the wonderful color in this bird. Very well done. |

Lisa, once I figured out what I was looking at, I liked it and started to roam the scene. I think opening up the shows within the opening and toning down (darkening slightly) the near ground would help my eyes immediately grasp what I am looking at. I think you have fine image that tells us something going on in nature. |

Well done. Every thing works well in this image and colors pop. Often I dislike birds at a feeder, but this one wins me over. The slight movement at the wing tips helps to tell the story. |

Great choice for filter effect in this image. That choice in itself, offers us a story beyond any other presentation. It is wonderful. Your image encourages me to think about that option because there are subjects that fit that look so well. Your composition helps my eye stay in the frame leading deep within it to see every detail you want me to see. |

One of the best examples of texture, tonality and patterns I have seen. Fine image. I would be proud of it, if it were mine. It seems to have just the right flow for my eye, a certain calming aspect that invites me to stay within the image and seek out every nuance. |

I like everything about your image. The composition, tonality, placement of subject within his environment, the curve of the road, contrast, clarity and overall story. Well done. I think the suggestion to crop is an option, but then it becomes a alternative....in my opinion. Both would be equally fine. |

Wonderful image. I would change nothing in composition and tonal presentation, other then my eye catches a slight variation in the verticals on the left part of edifice as seen near the border, when compared to the wonderfully straight verticals everywhere else within the image.
How rewarding to see this wonderful architecture and to share it with us. Nicely done. |

Wonderful tonality and compositional abstract. I like how you have presented this scene. The only think that caught my eye as something that I would like to see differently (and it is not the black like others have mentioned) is the slight, seems to me, lose of detail within the window frame. My eyes seems to seek detail there. Of course, that is minor....the image is splendid and is interestingly and artfully presented. |

Wonderful image. I think you have captured my attention on the insect in its environment with a nice softness to the flower. Increase 1 stop the depth of field might have gotten the legs a little sharper at the ends, but that might of messed with the softness that allows the insect to set apart so well. I agree that the wiggly can go. All in all, a fine image and one to be proud of. |

Maybe the compressed jpeg looses some detail in the whites. In the raw and a print the highlights seem suitably controlled. Highlights can be a challenge in the white. The RAW color version actually has a nice bell curve histogram within limits, but the jpeg looses something both in the color and the monochrome versions. Thanks for the insights. |

Your June image was posted, Stan, now that I have returned from overseas. BTW, Stan, the histogram on my image seems inline, but thanks for the thoughts. There are always possibilities. Your image here is delightful. |
