52 Feb 17 Comment Thanks, Tom. Feb 22nd
52 Feb 17 Comment I like your image, Mike. My only thoughts include initially a feeling that the feathers are little soft and the almost visible body below the head might be best lightened a little to show just a hint more detail. I see what Judith mentions about the eyes. I think that is due to the perspective and that these birds are not necessarily on a flat plane horizontally and so we get an illusion that the eye is trained elsewhere which I am sure is not the case. It is interesting, because once pointed out I couldn't stop seeing that anomaly. Wonderful image. Feb 16th
52 Feb 17 Comment I don't see what others are seeing. This is a beautiful image. Nice focus, composition, tonal quality, elements of the flower relationships, etc., etc. Fine job. Feb 16th
52 Feb 17 Comment That is a winner. As mentioned, print it...I suggest big and put up in a mountain cabin if you have one looking down on all who enter! SMILE. Feb 16th
52 Feb 17 Reply I still probably like the original best for the framing/crop. Here is one with more of the body of the bird. I think including the entire left wing of the bird would defeat the perspective I was attempting to achieve which I think is best done with the much tighter crop of the original. Here is one with more of the body of the bird some selective edits to punch it up a bit. Feb 16th
52 Feb 17 Comment Keep the main line. Mike's removal of the second short line is good for the image, noise reduction and color edit as he noted. For personal taste, I would rather see an image where I get more detail out of the spider, but that is not likely in this capture. Nonetheless, it is a Fine image with those adjustment, Mike suggested. Feb 16th
52 Feb 17 Comment Wonderful capture inspire of the challenges. Well done. I think regarding final presentation, Lisa is on target. Crop so we see less of the distracting branches. Very nice focus, color is quite nice. It doesn't both me that there is a little blur in the wing on the left side or the right side. Feb 16th
52 Feb 17 Comment Very nice capture. My initial viewing was that I thought I liked everything about the image except I want a little more detail at the detail of the bird. Somehow I am seeing that in the second posting you did in response to Mike's comment. Thus, I now see it quite pleasing. That was the only visual change my eye via my monitor that I could see. The color harmony, depth of field, background relationships, focus, composition, etc. are wonderful. Well done. Feb 16th
